Got my black Skyworth Combo now, setup easily. It hasn't been setup before (or probably the seller has hard reset it). Set to bridge mode, turned off the TR-069 configuration, copy the GPON password and VOIP and everything else as is. Works great. Can see the ONR to my router is now connected at 2.5GB speed.
*
Good to hear that, enjoy the full 1000+ speed. tongue.gif

Apart from TR-069, disable ACS and CWMP if you saw those. I can't remember if those are included. smile.gif

I m on the same plan . Expecting rm99 for 500Mbps. My SWU expire on Sept 2025.

Already submit transfer request from Maxis to test water

Contract expired on Sep 2025, yet you submit transfer so early. Technically they can impose penalty for early termination and you will be on the losing end.

went to tmpoint and ask for SWU

they have an offer for 1Gbps RM159, free 6 months, but auto downgrade to 500Mbps after 2 years

ask them if they can just downgrade to 800Mbps they say cannot biggrin.gif cuz my current plan is 800Mbps

also asked about the unifi tv renewal because my parents rely on that, and the free 6 months will not cover it (duh)

VPN that can avoid GFW is a very closely guarded trade secret tongue.gif

Any private OpenVPN / Wireguard / IPSec will be blocked quickly by GFW irregardless of the IP address laugh.gif

My suggestion is to just pay for China VPN service, plenty of them available online.

Well actually,

RM200/month give you 2 static IP Address with /30 subnet
RM300/month give you 6 static IP Address with /29 subnet

the first IP Address will reserved for the PPPoE and the Router,

I have done it, got a friend lend me one static IP which can I connect via Wireguard:
user posted image

I also see many companies own 6 IP address and only use 3 addresses, remaining address can be given out via WG or you can do SD-WAN to your home to have static IP
