Hi, does anyone know how to use the USB port of this Unifi router Skyworth Unifi Combo Box Ax3000? I connected an external harddisk to it, planning to use it as SMB file server. But it does not appear in my network.

Please help. Thank you.

Every routers with USB port is for SMB function & not enabled by default. You will find a service menu to enable & config it in control panel page. Basically found in same section as FTP, telnet etc. Also read manual for supported filesystem for the USB device. Btw I use that USB port to power 5V cooling fan.

I would prefer to use the ONR on bridge mode and use your own router to handle the networking

I've tried running the ONR on router mode and connect another router to it on AP mode and the speed is throttled and it's kinda laggy due to the slow CPU on the free ONR
*
I might expedite the timeline.

The ONR seems to be glitching out for me. Some of my devices seem to refuse to connect to it via WiFi. Rebooting it seems to have briefly fixed it.

Seems to have something to do with WPA3 but I was running under WPA2/WPA3 mixed for a while with no issues.

If the ONR is set on bridge mode do i need to the PPPoE setting on the router?

Thanks! Do I also still need to setup the VLANs?

Plus I can still leave the homephone plugged into the ONR right?

Black D-Link.

Addendum:

Should I worry about the speed drop outs people are getting with the the D-Link on bridge mode? I think my area has a Fiberhome OLT as our previous ONUs have always been Fiberhome. I can just reuse the old Fiberhome ONU if it's still an issue.

Hi all, my new condo only has unifi or maxis fibre coverage. My current house is on 1gbps plan at RM279 + SST (expensive...)

If I relocate Unifi to new condo I pay the same, or get new line but tied to new contract for RM249 + SST (2 years), then back to RM289 + SST.

Maxis is cheaper at RM249 + SST but I have had good experience with Unifi so far including the support. Wonder if there's anyway to get cheaper than RM249 for Unifi 1gbps :/

And no, 500mbps is no-go due to the 100mbps upload speed. Really hope TIME is available.

If you are out of contract, apply for SWU then apply for relocation

Better visit tmpoint for cancellation details & complain. Or maybe u should get free upgrade 2gbps not 1gbps.

call unifi and log case. get a case number. escalate the case to supervisor/manager.
if still nothing done, then log a MCMC case (search the thread on how to log case)

It took me more than 2 months of ding dong with unifi call then only managed to get upgraded.
