Guys is this celcom 1gbps fttr better then unifi 1 gbps?

Hi guys, I have issue with unifi. My original account is special account with RM80 rebate perpetual for 300Mbps. I got free upgrade to 500Mbps recently.

I opt for 3 months waiver to renew my contract with promise everything will be the same as original account.

TM create a new account for me and the price is for 500Mbps and no more RM80 discount. Now I have to pay extra RM50 for the same package like last time.

Can I fight this in tribunal?

dont take 3 month waive because its agent not from TM they want comision new account make by agent its bad
batter go TM Point you will get 6 month waiver

Yes you can, with black and white proof of the perpetual rebate as well as black and white of the free upgrade. I believe the second one is hard or impossible to get.

I don't get why cannot if he is tm tech unless the modem corrupt liao.

Mine with guidance from posters here just remind me to plug the cable from laptop TO port 4.

I have tried accessing the modem using the correct ip address and can't even connect to modem for a few days without avail.....only to be reminded from posters here that we NEED to connect directly to PORT 4 ONLY to access the modem while in bridge mode. Other port just does not work and can't access the web interface.

Then I uploaded the firmware that I got here to the modem. Worked so far.

Yes, when ONR on bridge mode setting, only Port 4 can access the GUI
Once go in, load the 2.03 firmware and all done.
i loaded 2.03 but yet tried it. So far heard wont speed drop but in monitoring.

TM have new ONR 2.5G Skyworth that replace D-Link Black, bridge mode might not possible in some OLT

this will follow TIME, OMCI control the ONU now

N630V, 2.5G LAN, no Bridge:


the OMCI ME171 cause this, the FwdOp 0x10 (vendor specific) tell to Route instead of bridging.

if lucky, need ask HBC for Bridge Mode, they can control the OLT OMCI

if need bridge without ISP intervention, I have 2.5G ONU Box for this case, also solve speed issue.

Currently sub to 500mbps DigiCelcom at RM169, contract expired.

Aiming for bare broadband, no tv no mobile line etc. Looking at Unifi 500mbps at RM149 not too bad.

Its okay. It is a combo unit. ONR = Optical Network Router. 2-in-one unit.


Not a big fan of skyworth ONR. Prefer either Fiberhome or D-Link due to the dual antenna design.
So bro, there will be no standalone unit anymore? What happens to the TP-Link ONU? tak jadi ke?

apparently TM going to follow TIME footsteps, giving all ONR instead of ONT + Router.

for example: call 100, TM can look your ONR and do checking even reboot or firmware update if available, all done remotely

if management VLAN is off, then OMCI can enable back and do reboot (reset port)

well, seem TP-LINK didn't win the contract.

OMCI now quite restrictive, if have multiple OMCI alarm, your account temporarily banned, I had to chat with TM and re-enable my account



it's not fun, all my test become harder which can disable internet to protect other user from losing internet access due to GPON sharing fiber.

tldr; ONR make TM easier to see you... example: override custom DNS if government asked

Gonna stick with my Huawei ONT as long as it last. No time for TM & Abang Non's goverment bullshit

offer me a lower price package "RM84.50 monthly for one year, contract renew 2 years."
same speed + FOC one "UNI5G Postpaid Biz 39".

sound very cheap, legid ? should i go for it ?

if a house/office only have 1 PON but require two ONT device (internet and other is for phone line, both registered to TM), is it possible to use PLC splitter?
