Currently using Fiberhome SR1041F AX3000 router. Plan was 800Mbps. Desktop using AXE5400 Tp-link PCIE Wifi card ( Wifi 6e )

Single storey house. Router roughly at the center of the house. My pc is in my room and the router is at dining hall TV table. My room and dining hall is just side by side. Signal strength around 77% .

Is the D-link DIR-X3000Z ( non unifi ) better and more stable wifi signal strength or just the same?

Is anyone having issues with iCloud Private Relay?
If switch to Digi data no issue, but using Unifi it can't seem to connect.

With a good router you can get around 600-700Mbps for that kind of distance.

The DIR-X3000Z is just a cheap basic router. Don't expect a huge improvement.

I would suggest get something a little higher end like TP-Link Archer AX73 or ASUS TUF-AX4200 then you will see a huge jump in performance.

Of course, if you have even higher budget, getting the full 1Gbps is possible with WiFi 7 routers.

Sorry for hijacking the reply, I am currently on MR80X but experiencing speed around 450Mbps with 2 bar on 160MHz and plan to upgrade router. May I know if Asus AX4200 or TPLINK AX73, BE230 or MR90X will be a better choice? The phone is iPhone 15. Thank you

for landed given the length of the house, unlikely u can really very good even with the high end, if you can wire ur different parts of your house with wired connection and do with wireless mesh (even cheap one) u can get good experience...

450Mbps over a short distance or over a wall? if 450Mbps over a wall then that's pretty good already.

Anyways, the Archer AX73 will probably give you a 15-25% boost. Up to you to decide whether that's worth it since you already got the MR80X now.

Over 2 walls to be precise, so it is better to leave it as what it is? The Maxis AX5400 could actually eke out better speed at around 750Mbps but it is extremely unstable, which is why I'm wondering upgrading to a "branded" AX5400 or AX6000 could make the situation better, or embrace BE3600?

Depends on how you value your speed. For me, if I am paying for 800Mbps every month, I want to make sure I can get at least 80% of that at most part of my house. Else there's no point to pay so much.

Anyways, performance of AX73 is actually much better than BE230. They are not in the same segment despite having a similar price. BE230 is entry level product.

You can consider the Archer AX73. Else, just get the RT-BE88U, should be able to give you a consistent 800Mbps. tongue.gif

AnyDesk work fine, but it is not free for life, it will impose a limit after sometimes.

Can you connect to RustDesk with UniFi? Maybe it is a UniFi business plan issue because both of my clients are using UniFi business plan.

Agree. I wrote to them about my package name still stuck at swu 300. They just replied and said according to their system it is unifi home 500 pro upgrade, that's it nothing else. I had to reply again saying that's the reason I contacted support, can you do something about it.

I think it was my number's issue. I contacted them again and asked them to send to my wife's number and it arrived in 5 minutes. Using the same telco as my wife, but number was ported over from some other telco before.

UniFi offer:

Frist 6 months free 1Gbps (Save RM954) + 18 months of Rm159/month for 1Gbps

After 24 months it would be Rm159/month but the speed will be reduced to 500Mbps.

I am expecting internet speed to be cheaper in 2 more years
*
can you verify if this information is correct? because im told after 6 months, throughput is set back to 500mbps..

aka 6 months free and 18 months of 500mbps at rm159

tmpoint told me 1gbps plan is 6months free, then the rest is at RM239?
