is it possible to terminate the voip outside ONU?
i.e. use my own voip phone connected via ethernet

I have an high end ip phone laying around unused that have lots of valuable features I could benefit from. Would be great i I could use this for unifi.

also how do I enable call forwarding on no reply?

There is this thread but it is for Maxis Fiber, probably can still use some info there, but substitute for TM's info
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/5243640

But Anime4000 did change to Unifi recently so maybe it's time for a new guide? biggrin.gif

based on Anime4000's test that I read before, it sounded like Maxis is very particular of the ATA's (or VoIP device's) identifier string, so high chance to fail if connect random brand and model and version. Don't think TM is particular of it though.

LMAO... Now you explain it in more details it sounds like OEM customization wrecked the phone.
I don't know man, I don't buy China brand phone. I don't even buy mid-range phone, much less low-end device.

Xiaomi is funny, daily hang is a known issue. I guess once it's documented it's no longer an issue, it's errata. That says a lot about their product quality and low expectations on everything.

Sounds about right... Not something I will use, ever...

Even google pixel always broken(hell, failed phone that can't call 911E!!!), who gonna trust google on Android, not to mention about OEM doing more stuff, lol. laugh.gif
There is only 1 rule, trust yourself, take a good backup, and change new phone every 3 years after stop getting update.

New phone is the only method to "reset" the aging of NAND, and prevent data lose.
Cheap or not don't matter too much, 3 years RM 1k phone is already good enough. tongue.gif

So, near end of 2023, how's all upgrade of 500M?
Enjoyment, or always not reaching 500M?

I just bought a new house and tried to apply for unifi (previous owner didn't stay in the house hence all this while it has no internet).

However, after applying I received the following message:

"Greetings from unifi. We regret to inform that we unable to proceed with your order for now due to limited ports in your area. We are in the midst of upgrading our network with additional ports to serve you better. Please allow 7-14 business days for our network team to set-up the service for you. We will inform you once there are available ports in your area. In mean time, you can keep track your order status for updates."

Seems like there is no more available port.... am I screwed? I read online that some people need to wait up to months and years for port to open up

Guys i am on unifi 300Mbps Basic - staywithunifi with free speed upgrade to 500Mbps @ 129

Went to Uptown TM Point to change to SWU3.0 but they tell me already passed now got SWU 4.0 and my plan is already 139 now.

Is there a good new package i could switch to?
*
no good new package

mine unifi 300Mbps SWU 3.0 with free speed upgrade to 500Mbps @ 119 so cheap
SWU 4.0 300Mbps no free speed upgrade to 500Mbps meaing just 300Mbps RM139 wow expensive and no give 500Mbps Very BAD

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Dec 20 2023, 02:36 PM)
Choose SWU 4.0 300mbps for rm119. At least can save rm10 monthly. But if you insist 500mbps, then SWU4.0 rm139 is not that bad anyway because original price is rm159.
*
mine lucky SWU 3.0 300Mbps with free speed 500Mbps for RM119 is not that bad anyway because free speed 500Mbps with so cheap RM119 with 6 month bill free + free 2x router because original price is RM159-RM119 discount RM40 lol
if RM139-RM159 discount RM20 lol
compare RM40 VS RM20 Discount doh.gif

1st month bill... dunno how they calculate the SWU RM159 and RM129 on the same month (pro-rate)...
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Next 5 month should only see RM119 nett ¿¿¿ Or perhaps RM159 minus RM40 discount ¿¿¿

unifi bill is prepay charge for next period.
like ASTRO.

one is for postpaid - previous date until today's bill date
one is for prepay - today's bill date until next bill date
that unifi 100Mbps is refund of unused days, because they had charged you for its usage in your previous bill. you will see date overlap if you compare.

Thanks for the explanation. Meow understood the pro-rate situation. Just the hypothesis on next bill for SWU3.0 will show :
1) RM159 minus RM40, OR
2) str8 RM119 ¿¿¿

Hence,

1st month = Pro-rate + Waive RM159
2nd month = Waived RM159 + 6% tax
3rd month = Waived RM159 + 6% tax
4th month = Waived RM159 + 6% tax
5th month = Waived RM159 + 6% tax
6th month =Waived RM159 + 6% tax

And the 7th month bill should be RM159 (+ 6% tax) minus RM40 permanently:
= RM159 (*1.06) - RM40
= RM168.54 - RM40
= RM128.54 permanently.

I just received my phone bill, RM 20+ for calling 100.
Even though I spent 1 hours+ on the phone with the TM agent, I didnt yell or shout at them.
I was explaining the problem again and again and sometimes she got me wrong, I stayed calm.
Even helped her to write the problem description in the ticket word by word.

And now ME, MYSELF is the problem, at least I didn't feel bad.

Next time can call 03-22411290 instead of 100. Presuming that you have unlimited local calls.
