Mine seems ok. imgur not too bad but I stopped using imgur as a host a few years ago as it was so slow but other ppl's images seem to be loading ok.

Shopee is ok for me too. Slowdown only for some? Maybe that was why it was so easy to get the 1000-500 voucher, twice, on 25/4.

Telegram ok except for some videos uploaded by possibly Europeans. Ukraine war videos.

I don't online game except for Minecraft but that server is in my house so...

Overall haven't really noticed any slowdowns enough to straight away cause me annoyance.

Well if u have notice some pipu hav to use vpn due to the major slowdown especially at night

We pay a lot For broadband but have to resort to vpn for speed

Yes, I have read the posts here re using VPN. I think it's up to those who are affected to complain. I know, TM doesn't make it easy.

Myself, the only site I've noticed slowdowns is mikrotik. Downloading router updates is extremely slow on ipv4. My internal Mikrotiks are on ipv4 only so very slow like 50 KBps. My Mikrotik router which has ipv6 seems to be ok. I think that's only thing that's affecting me regularly for the past 2-3 months.

Can always consider Digi or Maxis. My office is using Digi. I'm not there much but staff no complains.

I still prefer unifi bcus the other isp also using tmnet infra so in the end still back to tmnet

This is the price Malaysian have to pay due the cronies politicians and their state monopoly like tm

Every night struggle with slow connection! TM international bandwidth seem like max out.

To all those who have slowdowns at night , pleas raise a ticket to Unifi , i know it’s a hassle , but at least they will have to respond when there are too many complains

other shopping app if slow i switch to data, never care my mobile data quota as too many cannot use up

Which VPN are you on? Interestingly I tried ExpressVPN and the issue became more tolerable with 80 mbps dl speed, though still abnormal high ping

Those who had experience of complaining to TM about the slowdowns pls teach how/what the agents will ask so that forumers here can prepare what to do in advance before opening live chat for live agent to open ticket since the waiting line is so fucking long even at night.

Step by step what to prepare, speed test, ping test etc. I know they will ask all these esp using their own speedtest at https://speedtest.tm.com.my/.

It's been a while since I complain about my internet speed to TM forgot what they ask.

Wow, apparently we all experiencing weird slow down at night.

Speed only return around 4am to 9pm, then go back to slow again entire day.

What is wrong with Unifi? They doing some major upgrade or throttling?

No announcement pun, so unfair.

I’m on IVPN currently. Right now (time is on top of attached image), SG is useable, but this wasn’t the case last night, and even tonight it might koyak anytime with ping doubling/tripling and 10-20% packet loss occurring. MY server connection and speedtests are good for most of the day, but certain domains (mainly EU based) resolve very slowly and video streaming (pirate sites or video conferencing to UK) buffers a lot, meaning that the MY hosting provider’s ISP is also affected. JP server exhibits higher latency, but no issues when surfing and streaming. I don’t do gaming so cannot advise you on that. Screenshot from IVPN app included below. HK and TW totally koyak for the past months.

Mullvad currently (~11pm) some SG servers are responding well. HK servers also having relatively low (around 50-60ms) ping with zero packet loss. But I’m currently not subscribed to Mullvad so this is just based on traceroutes and ping tests. From previous experience I know that some of Mullvad’s HK and JP servers route through China for EU queries, so likely unaffected by the Indian Ocean cable fault.

I avoid the other commercial VPNs (personal trust issues) so cannot comment.

Agreed, it's much better tonight.
However, it's still not as good as the pre-COVID era where everything loads instantly. After COVID, it seems like they've never really fixed the broken submarine cable.

Excited for my speed boost tomorrow! Even though it won't do squat for latency, hey, it's free! LOL
