QUOTE(cyberic @ Oct 13 2023, 12:25 AM) Haiyaa! Cannot compare lah. D(own) link only can see dust from tp link. Can't expect much from cheaper spec Dlink. Mine was the Fiberhome one, which is probably worse than the D-Link one lmao.QUOTE(BenYeeHua @ Oct 13 2023, 12:25 AM) Yup, except you are using it purely for local transfer, better resale it before the value getting down. Carousell people are like selling them for RM250 for both together. Not sure whether people are buying lol. Will put it up real soon. Not like there is enough wifi channel to give 2 crappy wifi router lol. |

QUOTE(anip94 @ Oct 12 2023, 09:58 PM) oh damn you werent kidding when you said the fibre is invisible, i thought it would have some kind of layering protection like when they pulled it from the the main fiber box I, for one, will surely spend on this for my house just to create backbone from living room to kitchen. The network is now disjointed into 2 sections connected by wireless mesh; because the ceiling space is divided front-rear by firewall and outdoor water tank, so I can't exactly thread a CAT or fobre as it is without having a shielding pipe installed to protect against exposure to outdoor weather. |

QUOTE(BenYeeHua @ Oct 12 2023, 09:26 PM) ? Not upload speed drop, the upload speed was not upgraded. It stayed at 10mbps. Only download speed upgraded from 30mbps to 100mbps. If there is anything wrong with the fiber drop cable, then download would not be achieving 100mbps. Fiber cable is passive by nature, it facilitates transfer of data regardless of direction. You means upload speed dropped or what? If it stay the same as 30M plan which is 10M up, I think can be your fiber getting bend somewhere. It is fine for 10M upload, but it is not fine for 50M upload. So you should call TM to check for your fiber. |

Still, if restart + change external IP don't fix it, you should call 100 anyways....First time knowing fiber don't affect the download upload speed if bend, because in ADSL generation, they use different frequency for download and upload, which greatly affecting single direction speed only.
