QUOTE(Xanxeviera. @ Oct 11 2023, 01:37 PM) Installed my 100Mbps today, switched from maxis fibre If indeed 100mbps rm89 get upgraded to 300mbps, that's a good deal.Retaining the same huawei BTU, TM gave me very lousy D-link Wifi 5 router lol. Had to change to my AX20 after they left they said, i will get free upgrade to 300Mbps within 2 months but 100Mbps alr enough for me also a question, is 20ms a normal ping to singapore for Unifi user? I can get around 14-15ms with maxis ![]() QUOTE(soonwai @ Oct 11 2023, 03:16 PM) 100Mbps RM89 permanent. That's the only thing cheaper. But I think there is no incentive going for 100mbps since it is same price rm89 for both Maxis and Unifi. 300mbps on Maxis at least discount 24 months. After 24 months can change to whichever cheaper. Maxis 300Mbps is RM129 permanent or back to RM149 after 2yrs? Friend sent me this but dunno from when. ![]() QUOTE(hjh87 @ Oct 11 2023, 03:39 PM) I am using CAT 8 Vandesail Cable. Funny thing is, using all same cable but with given TM Dlink router speed test in PC get 500mbps only when change to ax73 speed is just 90mbps. Tried going through TP-Link 192.168.0.. no setting for changing the high-speed thing. Anyone can help out? If all else fail, reset the TP-Link router and reconfigure. After that if still the same, probably the router port rosak |

QUOTE(simmarjit @ Oct 11 2023, 08:17 PM) Most of the problem I saw is the chipset and metal on the port. You know la, Realtek network card low performance one, I got my china friend set up just 5m to the router, only can set 100M.... While another is I need to use WD40 on the lan port, else the Oxidation on the metal making it unstable. The power of humidity!!! These 2, enough to causing trouble than cable la. The third one is the cable connector not well bind to the cable, that one installer issues la. This post has been edited by BenYeeHua: Oct 11 2023, 08:25 PM |

If unstable, go with Intel la. QUOTE(go626201 @ Oct 11 2023, 08:51 PM) Nowadays Realtek ethernet adapter is quite okay. (2.5G card so far so good,I have multiple 2.5G USB adapter all work quite okay) Yes, just better avoid WiFi chipset, I got driver issues lol.Intel newer generation Lan card keep having new bugs causing issue. They somehow binding the driver with system own clocktime, if your windows sync the time, it will cut-off the network then connect you back on. It got fixed after that branch version, but then they released new version of driver based on that branch again lol. |

QUOTE(PJng @ Oct 11 2023, 08:43 PM) Realtek Ethernet is perfectly acceptable though some prefer Intelfor wifi, Intel AX200 is the king for Wifi 6, or AX210 for 6E do not get AX201 or AX211 unless you can confirm your system supports it (Intel processor required) Mediatek and Realtek wifi 6 have always been considered to be not as good |

QUOTE(PRSXFENG @ Oct 11 2023, 09:14 PM) Realtek Ethernet is perfectly acceptable though some prefer Intel ax201 and ax211 is a bit better, but the problem is it bind to that system, and you are forced to buy it if only got that slot provided.for wifi, Intel AX200 is the king for Wifi 6, or AX210 for 6E do not get AX201 or AX211 unless you can confirm your system supports it (Intel processor required) Mediatek and Realtek wifi 6 have always been considered to be not as good So, normally ax200 or ax210 better for desktop, as you can carry on next PC build. And yes, Intel full with bug for the driver as well, based on few of my china friends, lol. Just it is the best out of crap. So kind hard to say la, driver issues just need to seek the best version, while hardware issues only can swap hardware. This post has been edited by BenYeeHua: Oct 11 2023, 09:18 PM |
