This card is extremely hot on full load temperature can go up to 92c!!!!! doh.gif can boil water with that kind of temperature!!!!! tongue.gif dont believe then read this review [http://www.legitreviews.com/article/591/11/] 92c not good. If u dont like ur PC generate heat then i advise u dont get it. sweat.gif

but y is it my frens's abit ip35 pro crossfire 3850 get 8k only for 3dmark06? for single card he was able to get 7-8k liao....y add 1 more card also like no improvement...i aware that his 2nd slot is 4x speed...but at least it can go up more....

must br got something wrong, ppl get more then 14k crossfire hd3850, did ur friend enable crossfire, which caty he use? 7.11?

ya he enable it...with my maximus formula + q6600 un oc everthing i get 13.5k default....and we only enable xfire at the caty cp...and yes is version 7.11...

They had review samples which had an earlier version of the BIOS.

Fan speed stuck at low percentage.

Updating to a new BIOS makes it considerably cooler.

their doing a stress test 99% load for 30mins doh.gif , imagine if 8800GT stress out on full load even hotter afaik.

2900GT is out of the question (sucks)

2900PRO has 600Mhz clocks vs the 660 something of the 3850.

A 512MB 3850 definitely pwns the 2900PRO, and overclocking to 2900XT/3870 speeds is a no-brainer (make sure you fix fan control first though)
