what i know hd2900pro i cut down version of hd2900xt, which use same chip.. if hd2900xt not support dx10.1, hd2900pro also not support
just new 3800 series will support

you mean can't sli pcie 2.0 vga on pcie 1.0 and pcie 1.1 mobo? already got review bout 8800gt sli and it work, and so far no nvidia mobo support pcie 2.0

it the price tag remain usd199 for hd3870 aka r6700 with 512mb ddr4 it a gud price, but still lose to 8800gt in term of performance. and bout single or double slot fan, if serious gamer and overclocker they will cahnge to after market heatsink fan.. btw r670 based on 55nm architecture, it should be cold and why need double slot cooler... that kinda joke

yap... but if both oc... which will win... just finish play call of duty 4 on 8800gt, all max setting reso 1280x1024... very playable, reach 120fsp ++

bout dual card setup... before this i play world in conflict, with crossfire setup, with all high setting can gain bout 30-35 fps, but when i disable crossfire the fps drop to 18-20 only, i went to ati website, they not even stated that world in conflict in crossfire supported list

it was dual card setup (hd3870 crossfire vs 8800gt sli), yap ati crossfire perform better then sli (own experience), but when turn to single vga nvidia win every test and game

of coz hd3870x2 (corssfire alredy) win over 8800gt due dual chip on a single card

since when got 4 card sli, the latest is 3way sli... that was 4 crossfire x

anybody already crossfire hd3870? got any prob with driver... coz got few issues with my previous hd2600xt crossfire setup, the monitor flicker few time after passing windows logo, the driver conflict with codec, i need to reinstall the driver few time to resolve it

nope... the soundcard working find, just when wanna watch movie, the prob appear, need to reinsttall the ati driver, after install it work find, but when i off or restart the pc it happened again

pcie2.0 is the latest one.. but it backward compatible...as long ur mobo hv pcie 16x u able to use the vga, the pcie 2.0 supply more power to vga, so no need external power connector

ya , crossfire use less power and less heat... now just wondering the performance, some review state that CF better then SLI, and got other said SLI better then CF

bro, how high fsp u achieve with hd370 with above game (that u hv played), im thinking going for crossfire

must br got something wrong, ppl get more then 14k crossfire hd3850, did ur friend enable crossfire, which caty he use? 7.11?
