Here's the deal...regardless of what others say...You shouldn't really OC a 3850 if you are using the stock cooling...seriously...thats just asking for trouble ESPECIALLY if you are playing Crysis! i Overclocked my memory clock to like 890Mhz and was having black outs after 1 1/2 in Crysis(when i had none when it wasnt overclocked and 3 hours+ of playing Crysis)...now i just moved it all back down...

Seriously apart from getting playable performance...the numbers are just irrelevant...dont try to get too greedy...

1gb 2900xt? if so might becoz of ur resolution and details.. where the higher memory start to show its advantage over lower memory...

for me i failed to compare with my previous 1gb 2900xt, coz quite some time edi.. but somehow when comparing with 8800gt, it's hard to notice the performance different, unless i open Fraps and see the FPS laugh.gif

yes... 1GB 2900XT, well, it tried both card with same setting @1280x1024 on my system... even though almost same fps, but i felt (very subjective though), the gameplay much more smoother with HD2900XT, about the IQ... it's ATi man... nothing can beat them thumbup.gif

In Gear Of Wars XBOX360, HD2900XT & 8series color dark & faded, but on HD3850 color quality improve a lot in brighter & more fresh like beyond tweaking capabilities.
