The most important is the price is not even changed, 1499RMB, about 200 USD and you can own this card. If this is the same price as 3850 then nice!

I suppose thats because they(NVIDIA) release drivers more frequent...they rectify their mistakes/bugs faster..

I'd like to ask , is there a big difference between GDDR3 512MB and GDDR4 512MB ?
Either in gaming or watching HD movie ?

Gaming yes...movies not really...obviously the newer memory has slightly higher frequency/clock speed as well as a few other fancy shmancy technical stuff...but at the moment the difference is very marginal.

If there is no much difference GDDR3 512MB and GDDR4 512MB maybe going for GDDR3 256MB

I was asking after I saw HD 3850 with GDDR4 512MB and same price as now. http://en.expreview.com/?p=100

So what about GDDR3 256MB vs GDDR3 512MB ? Sorry for newbie question , actually what is the major difference with lower memory ? real example ?

Most computer shops sell them...RM50 or less.

Take a look at this article:
http://www.digital-daily.com/video/hd2600x...a_af/index4.htm

While it is generally better than GDDR3, I wouldn't buy a particular GC solely based on the Memory type. I would do some research on the reliability of this card you are talking about. Try searching for reviews from different people to get a better idea of that card.

GDDR3 vs GDDR4
1) 7.2 vs 11.2 GBps per chip max data speed
2) 1.8 vs 2.8 GBps per pin max data rate
3) 1.8 vs 1.5 v minimum power consumption which results in a 20-25% energy savings
4) 2.1 vs 1.9 v maximum power for overclocking
5) 4 vs 8 bit burst length which allows more memory bandwidth and lower latency
6) no DBI vs DBI: Data Bus Inversion - it takes more energy to transfer 0s than 1s. When there are a lot of 0s to move, it will send them as 1s instead and then use DBI to signal that all those 1s needed to be flipped back to 0s. This is a power saving feature.
7) Three point voltage control via video card driver for fine tuning and overclocking

As a comparison, the X1900xt uses GDDR3 at 1.45GHz while the X1950xtx uses GDDR4 at 2GHz. This difference helps the the X1950xtx get 64GBps memory bandwidth over the 46.4GBps of the X1900xt. As for the future, GDDR5 is expected in 2008 and will use 1.2-1.5v. The next GDDR interation might be in 2010 and use 1.2v max.

Source: Computer Power User

TomsHardware (reviews of 8800GT, 8800GTS and HD38x0) mentioned that the rated speed for GDDR3 is 1000MHz while GDDR4 is 1200MHz. Hence, GDDR4 can be overclocked much further than GDDR3. That will make a lot of difference.
