Is it normal to get the VIN 1-2 months before collecting the car?

My friend say VIN only give to the buyer when the car is in Malaysia. If get VIN and didn't get the car maybe there is some problem with the car they are fixing it or handling it?

Is it true? or for Tesla its diff case?

That's presumptuous. Maybe the team just busy preparing for Juniper delivery.

thats ridiculous.

I believe when you confirm order from tesla website by paying 1k order fee, the order directly send to Shanghai gigafactory based on your custom order.
so when the car is getting cooked, unique VIN# and motor# will be generated, then it will assign to your profile.
the delivery can be delay due to their shipment schedule coz they dont just deliver one or two cars, but in bulk.

VIN usually gets assigned when the car is already on the boat to Malaysia. Possible also being assigned while car already in Msia as the original owner assigned delay/canceled the order and the VIN will be assigned to the next in queue.

Yes, but it will still feel hot, but not as hot as without. Best is sunshade if you always park in hot sun.

Tint mine, and eventually added an outer PPF that rejects more heat (this one works a lot better than the internal tint).

Internal tint the heat will build up on the glass anyways, and heat will radiate down.

Can anyone share with me, if it is possible to get 0% interest for the m3 long range? by putting down as much (or more) deposit to follow similar to the rwd criteria.
say example, throwing down rm100k upfront.

Sorry if this has been asked before - has anyone tried to do tire rotation at Tesla service center before? I tried to request service from within Tesla app and gotten a cost estimate of RM362 for just tire rotation, which I felt is very much on the high side. I know this can be done outside, just that with the experience with many tire shops out there, many are not really experienced with dealing with EVs or Tesla, specifically. I would want to avoid damaging either the bottom of the car while jacking up (if didn’t do properly) or scratch/damage the wheel cover or rim…

Recommendations of any good and experienced tire shop that you’ve experienced are welcome… KL area.

Thank you 🙏🏻

Hankook ion or bridgestone turanza. If u want cheaper option, u can go for non-ev tires.

Can try any lim tayar. Ask if they have the lifting pads before you proceed.

Not exactly KL, but Quick Save in USJ, have done 3 rotations with them, and the boss is a Tesla owner as well.
No complaints from me so far.

Alternatively keep jack pads in your car, and give any tire shop to use, have gone to random shops to patch leaks also with no issue.
Handy in case you need to have the car jacked up in an emergency.

Should be about RM140 inclusive tax for rotation and balancing. Alignment will cost you a big bomb at Tesla.
