there is 0% interest free ongoing for rwd model right?
*
Can anyone share with me, if it is possible to get 0% interest for the m3 long range? by putting down as much (or more) deposit to follow similar to the rwd criteria.
say example, throwing down rm100k upfront.

hello fellow sifus, I am stuck at proforma invoice part ever since booking.

I got a call from an agent from Pavi last saturday right after booking he told me to click until the choosing bank option and told me there will be calls coming in from bank to ask for further action (today).

However, I have yet to get a call, just wondering if its normal to wait a few days. I have also checked with the agent and they told me so long as in my Tesla app there's a Proforma Invoice (inside show VSO), then the details will flow to the bank to contact me?

Please help me if i miss out any action
*
I guess just wait for the DA to call you first?

Read last month about FSD testing in Australia….

But somehow, I think FSD legalisation in Malaysia is a far fetched dream….
*
Agreed, somehow I believe one main reason would be cause Malaysia allows for lane-splitting by motorcycles on our roads.
It just adds additional layers of complexity to the AI model.
Well not just Malaysia, a lot of the other SEA countries as well.

Not saying it's not possible, just needs more data and training required by the AI to familiarise itself and adhere with the road situation.

To put into context, although I think I am just unlucky, my windscreen cracked twice within 2 months.

After first accident, I topped up to cover back the windscreen.  So my 2nd claim was also under insurance.

I am still thinking whether I want to top up to cover back the windscreen again, although my insurance renews in December....

Wanna ask, would then getting a windscreen ppf help instead?

my rear windscreen has PPF... it looks kinda... blurry too compared to without... I'll definitely not put PPF on front windscreen  sweat.gif
*
Cause I've been seeing a lot of detailing shops offering this windscreen ppf services now. Claiming it has self-healing for minor scratches or stone chips.

Knowing that it is so easy to get stone chips / cracks while driving at high speeds.

I'm tempted to try, cause I don't want to have to change windscreens every now and then.

and just like that, Australia becomes the 1st RHD country to get FSD.....hopefully Malaysia gets it in the not s distant future, despite what i said recently....

One thing I realise is that, in Australia, Tesla's market share of the total EV volume is about 30%-40%, so of course it would make sense for Tesla to invest and deploy FSD in their market.

For Malaysia's case, on top of a flurry of other hurdles, with only a small presence of Tesla vehicles (against the overall EV numbers), may make it even harder to get FSD implemented lol.
What more with the tax-free incentives likely ending by end of this year, chances are less people will opt for Tesla going forward in Malaysia.

Anyone here can help with my question on our wipers.
What’s the typical wipers lifespan for the original Tesla wipers, and what’s some recommended brand to get after that?

Haha, so if I’m usually parked at a covered location, much longer say 2 years?
Cause I think Tesla service maintenance would also recommend to change wipers so I’m just curious.

My Kamatto still working perfectly for almost 2 years.

Did you clean it periodically?

QUOTE(sonotme @ Sep 7 2025, 12:30 AM)
mine so far still original, 6 months+ but when it streaks, i clean it and it's okay.
But planning to change to trapo by the end of the year.. how much is trapo?
*
QUOTE(joshgm_119 @ Sep 7 2025, 02:59 AM)
That's the complete opposite of mine. Nice to hear that mine's probably isolated.
Yup, cleaned the blades every 2 weeks. Just my bad luck I guess.
But that experience was bad enough to put me off ever trying that brand again.
Was sub RM90 for a pair with vouchers when bought online.
*
When you guys say you clean your wipers, how do you clean them?
Use wd-40 on a cloth and wipe the wipers?

QUOTE(huiqing88 @ Sep 10 2025, 10:00 PM)
Tesla Malaysia has again changed their SuperChargers' rates. For most locations, it now has different rates for different hours.

Take The Gardens Mall for example:
- 4am-9am : RM0.80 / kWh
- 9am-11pm : RM0.97/ kWh
- 11pm-4am : RM0.63 / kWh

For regular hours, slightly increase in price (from RM0.93 / kWh earlier). Still very cheap tho. Different locations have their own set of timing & rates.
*
This is really good news! This pricing is almost like AC charging price set by other CPOs (typically rm1 / kwh).
Hoping other CPOs out there also adopt this approach based on peak period pricing.

Only problem with these TSCs are that it is mostly at some shopping mall in klang valley.

Hi all, i have a few question

1. Where is the cheapest rate assuming i work in PJ/Hartamas area?
2. I do frequent Gardens Mall and i see a few reply above offering quite a competitive rate, however i do read online that it is not really good for battery health in the long run if we go for supercharger/DC?
3. Do you guys charge every single day or once a week? Assuming KV city drive to work/home
*
Will share regarding your question on charging every day.
To me, basically it is a mindset shift away from how we did it with ICE vehicles. Don't wait until your down to the last bar only start to refill.

Especially with ACs, use the top-up concept, whenever you can just top-up to 80% or 100% depending on battery chemistry.
With AC, if you got the luxury to do it charge it daily (e.g landed prop), then go ahead charge it daily.

If you are not using the car daily (say only once or twice a week), then slightly different perhaps charge till 50%-60%.

But as per what huiqing88 said even with DC, I've read elsewhere, that frequent charging with DC has negligible impact to the battery health or degradation.

Just curious about the trade-in step up program for Model Y.... so if I trade in my ICE car now instantly is RM15k off? This amount can be used to offset the downpayment as well? What if my current car still under loan? And how do they value the car, do they go by their own estimation or they partner with another party like carro or carsome?
*
Yes, if you decided to trade in your car through Tesla, you'll get the rm15k off.
If I'm not mistaken, it will be deducted from the total invoice amount as a rebate/discount. And no, you cannot use this 15k as part of your downpayment.

In terms of the trade in car value, they will partner and assign some used car dealer, not necessarily carro or carsome. The used car dealer can help to settle the loan amount, if there's surplus they will bank it into you.

Does DA only make contact after VIN is assigned?
Booked on 14 Oct (M3 LR RWD too) but no one contacted me so far 🙏
*
They should reach out to you after 4-5 days. But I suspect they are extremely busy with the number of orders.
You may take the initiative to call them instead; it is essentially to let you know what to expect and to prepare in the coming months.

Wanna ask you guys a question regarding the reverse camera, is it just me or what..
been using for some time but still can’t get the hang of it, the reverse camera isn’t wide angled. I have trouble reversing out when there’s pillars or cars next to me blocking my view.

Thing is, when there is incoming traffic behind me, my car can still alert me on the screen (with the red bar) whether it is from the left or right. But I just can’t see the car from the camera lol

Is this just a me problem? Previously even my old car the reverse camera had better angles.

do you guys tint the glassroof or just get a shade to cover it?
*
I actually did the sunroof ppf (for both the roof as well as the rear window), honestly now I don't feel my head burning when driving under the hot sun.
But when I touch the roof, you could still feel it is very hot.
Well probably cause I didn't actually tint my roof (cause I fear the installer might incorrectly interfere with whatever electronics near the roof). Perhaps tinting plus ppf would have helped a lot more.

But suffice to say the sunroof ppf works in my opinion.

is there electronic part at the roof?

is it a colored ppf?
*
Yup I believe there’s something in roof beam, not sure what is in it but I believe there’s a fan outlet as well.

The sunroof ppf is not coloured I think.. but I think I’ve seen some with some reddish hue on it.

What sunroof ppf brand u use?
I plan to do both ppf on sunroof and also tint at inside
*
I went with this brand Quad, done by p10x.
This was good enough for me.

I was previously considering sunroof ppf from OBM since I saw many Teslas did it there. But it was in puchong so nope.

Best is Xpel I believe, but expensive la haha.
For tint, go for those multi-sputter type that claims to really reduces heat.
