It is unlikely we can bypass the restriction imposed on the "phone SIM" like those supplementary lines. During 4G/5G registration, there are many things expose the UE (User Equipment) information:

User-Agent <-- The first thing already revealed what device the SIM is on. i.e. Android/14 Fold 4, ZTE CPE Router [Model] etc etc... This is the most likely the culprit that causing us unable to use normal SIM on CPE router.

Accept Header <-- I don't even know if our CPE router have this field. Smartphone will have the voice codec listed. unless the 4G/5G router supports voice

Feature Tag <-- This also revealed what type of service the UE is expecting i.e. Audio/SMS/Data etc...

So after all, unless we can customise the whole stack to trick the IMS network, if not then forget about it...

Haha. I get 400 mbps in Puchong with Umobile but of course, only at certain locations.

I suspect 5G lines get saturated very quickly. We just pray that other people don't come to use 5G near me.

Go somewhere else to use please. LOL.

And then there are the moments where the router won't actually transmit anything, but bizarrely the household members using U Mobile for their phones have no trouble with their own mobile data.

I thought the 1-3 minute periods where the router refused to let any data through was bad, now there are hourly nightly outages for 1-3 hours.

Cheaper than fiber to the home and free router for customer loyalty they said...

TP-Link Archer NX200 simple review.

1. Modem material and build is top quality and premium.

2. Speed is very good (non-peak i got 400+ Mbps, not even full bar of 5g).

3. Wifi signal is very strong. I still get less than 30ms ping even when im outside my house, outside the gate (terrace house). However, the dl speed is less, which is normal when the wifi is far.

4. Ping i always get less than 30ms. Sometimes less than 20ms.

5. Setup is very simple. Got app where you can tune some settings. The app is user friendly.

6. Got a built-in fan to regulate heat.

I am a happy user! Highly recommend this modem to others.

Brb gonna sell the free ZTE modem now.

Haha I never have this problem with my Umobile Home internet.

I used to have regular service interruption, but disappeared after firmware update.

Yes, seller is the same.  I did post a review there.  brows.gif Nick name is 潘大侠 brows.gif I choose this because it has newer Qualcomm X62 modem (I do not want X55 modem which is also from Qualcomm; if not mistaken, the CPE recommended by Umobile is using X55 modem)
Btw, there are 2 designs, one is square and one is round. I bought round one where top surface contains 5G led logo.

Band information related to Malaysia Telcos --> https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/MY
My area Umobile 5G is using N78 band.

Nowadays i do notice that i have not been facing anymore problem with sudden DC or router sometimes needing restart, those previously was infrequent but noticeable like once or twice a month.
It's been 3 months now my router have been on 24/7 but one thing tho i do notice is that the speed i could get is getting lower, when i 1st start using uhome5G i was getting around 600mbps no problem, then drop to around 300-400mbps after a year, now the speed is mostly around 200mbps at max. hmm.gif hmm.gif
Still sufficient to me tho.. Hope it won't drop anymore from this. #touchwood sweat.gif sweat.gif
