I think you can now buy the prepaid at 7E and register it as the U Home 5G postpaid broadband

if u worry about super poor performance of the supplied router, u should get the sim only plan (without any contract) & buy any other reputable 5g modem router, like me. don't just signed the contract because of the free router, tied for 24 months is a very long timeeeeeee

No physical external antenna connector nor any trace of external antenna connector on the PCB, so i guess there is no clean/easy way? sweat.gif sweat.gif

Can consider TP-Link NX510v. Can find it below RM800 if the timing is right.

You can consider to take this modem:

https://invl.io/cllpce5
(the link to said product)

Cost-effective 5G modem with good chipset. Plus compatible with ample band frequencies.
Some more with advance LTE if the network fall-back.

I am experiencing slow download for iOS 18 update on U Home plan (4G only at my area), but speedtest can reach 50Mbps- is it throttling on U mobile side or Apple server congested?

Can skip lo.. Read that the performance is not that great.. I have their ZTE MC888s, the performance sucked too.. Regret taking their contract..
Better buy those Nokia Fastmile router and others with snapdragon chipset hmm.gif

I see, I'm fed up with the ZTE MC888s. I signed up two weeks ago with a contract, and the speed is barely above 10 Mbps—ridiculous! I’ve complained to customer service, and they’re replacing the router, but I requested a different model. Instead of fixing the issue, they closed the first case without properly reading my complaint! I raised another case ticket and scolded the CS kaw kaw haha

Moral of the story, buy your own router and just subscribe to the contract-less plan. At this point, I'm thinking the provided routers have some flaws.
