oddly enough - on a separate note, when i put a DIGI 5G supp line into the Zyzel 5103E it doesnt work because i think it is locked, but in the Deco X50 5G - it still works ...

IMEI lock is basically a list of block devices, like blocking mac addresses
u need to keep adding new stuff into that list
it's like trying to block specific phones...it's almost impossible to block all phones in this world due to some not sold here and too many to catch up
so we users can exploit that loophole but not sure it's going to last long or not

imei locked. unless ur x50 5g can change imei then normal sim (non 'broadband') wouldn't work. I'm in dilemma between x50 5g & olax g5018 last 7.7 sale. glad I go with olax bec it's modified router, any sim will work & wouldn't deduct the hostpot quota. olax can change imei to ur liking within 2 seconds. for tp link, I've browse thru all the forums & no plan to enable imei modification at all, so u will stuck with that router imei & can't change it to phone imei.

tried umobile prepaid, yes prepaid, digi prepaid n maxis prepaid. all speed is the same. nearest active 5g tower is about 800 meters from my house, but in between my house to that tower there's a huge aeon mall. so my speed significantly reduced. can only get around 300 - 350 mbps only on 5g.

hyperbolic v9 antenna could easily at least double this speed, but very costly, rm300 - 400 with all the cabling included, maybe for future upgrade. for now I'll keep using yes as my main sim bec the cheapest rm25/month for unlimited speed + unlimited 5g data. no point using other telco as 5g speed is about the same everywhere.

attached is my signal (quite bad even though already place at the window. haha) & the speed I able to get around 300mbps. anyway just terminate my 800mbps maxis fibre contract this evening (rm232 monthly, with 6% tax). huge saving for me in the coming months. from rm232 to just rm25 monthly. hehe.

Yeah, I guess I will. I used my spare Android phone to try it, and it works. The login screen is the same as the old iOS app before the update. Just input my phone number and PIN (set earlier).
At least I can log in now using Android.

Issue seems to be fixed now. I can login on the iOS app again. Received OTP via email.

u need to use ehem2 modem router to bypass it. unmodified 5g modem router like dlink, tp-link, Nokia can't bypass it. locked modem router also can't bypass it.

Looks like MC801A... or I could be wrong... since I also have a MC801A from Celcom since last year... RM149 per month though which sucks now but I dont have a choice back then and its light years faster than Unifi Air.

Well, depends.

If it switches often between 4G and 5G, then CelcomDigi would offer much better speed than UM.

Personally I would prefer to have CelcomDigi for their superior 4G network in case 5G goes down (sometimes it does goes down few times a day). However their price is really not attractive and no free router if you are not postpaid subscriber.
