Just returned home from work cum dinner. Noticed that the router led turned green which indicate 4G network (even though I already set 5G NSA only). Login to my router showed it's still connected to 5G. I guess UM doing some hanky panky between 5g/4g switching. Speed is really slow now... 15Mbps.

if you home 5G signal constantly 2 bar above, recommend you spent some money buy those able to lock (which can choose those single band B28 and N78) band modem router, easy free setup and more consistant.

You are not alone. My modem router has the same green light while connected to 5G symptom as well. Happened 2 weeks ago and speed drop from 250 mbps to 25 mbps average.

Is there any speed cap or FUP on this U HOME 68 plan?
I just got one last night and can't seem to get any good speed. Even my own phone 5G can get better speed.

Use MC801A at 3bar 5G signal getting ~250Mbps DL, ~40Mbps upload, at 5bar signal, getting ~500Mbps DL, 100Mbps UL.
Use on Poco F3 phone able achieve 1GMbps DL, ~100Mbps UL.

FUP is 1000GB
speed really varies on the location you're and the modem you're using
if your phone is powered by qualcomm, you'll definitely getting better speed and you'd want a modem that's using qualcomm chip as well to get the same result

Pretty sure you're wrong with your info, no one could use 1000TB a month, FUP is 1000GB or 1TB

depends what speed u can get with your qualcomm powered phone
u should be able to safely get 40-50% of that speed
but of course different time of the day the speed will be different
this is the disadvantage of using telco > ISP fiber
