i dont really get ur meaning...the online filling up  (for Malaysian only that states to receive money by CHEQUE) didn't say anything abt having forms, etc certified by Embassy...u mean after filling up the form online, cpf will sent another set of forms to be filled up, then certified by Embassy..(then money can be transfered by cpf to cimb.sg?..need to be sure before i press submit)...tqvm

read from the beginning of this thread. there is a completed process mentioned and people did it.

I clicked the link you provided in the earlier post, and realised this is a new online form which I didn't know existed. Hence, what I said may not be applicable as the hardcopy forms were the ones to be used if one wanted to close account previously.

Apologies for any confusion.

Edit: therefore, I'm not sure about this new procedure.

Seem like the online form doesn't make any use at all, from what I gather you will need to use the form CPF-CA and sign in front of witness (Singapore High Comm or Consulate) in order to proof your identity.
The problem now is the appointment slot is all till next year.
Maybe if you are travelling overseas can try the appointment there.

Hi,

Is this the online form (for Malaysians only who wish to receive money by Cheque) that u and the others above filled up and thereafter they also sent another set of forms (to be certified by embassy) https://form.gov.sg/63573e845cfdb20012171772. Need to be sure cpf don't sent cheque to me & if possible dont want to travel to s'pore. tq.

In my opinion, the online form is just a starter.

They will reply to your email that you will need to get a bunch of forms certified in their high commission in KL. The way they allow the appointment there is crazy. I booked in early APR and only can get a slot in end SEP. So book first and think later.

sure. should be able to.

I visited CPF (to me, online application is a waste of time) and they cross check the account number online for validity before allowing the process. in essence, I gave a wrong account number and they are able to detect it. even the account number dash has to be correct. best to visit them physically.

i will suggest to open a cimb sg account and get the money into the account directly.
see if cimb malaysia branch can help to open an account or not?

i did the renunciation of embassy already. need to wait 8 weeks... then can submit documents to embassy...

Has anyone tried using panda remit to transfer sgd to msia? It seems the rate is quite good... Not sure if it is better than CIMB

How long to process CPF closure

Average time for in person submission is 10 weeks, then additional 4 weeks on top of that as they say there's too many applications.
Online application is 6+4 weeks.

I've submitted mine 6 weeks ago online, still no news either.

Yeah I'm guessing current status is "in progress", next status will be "approved". Big gap in between with no small updates sweat.gif

Problem is we can't even see whether it is in progress, approved or rejected or whatsoever because no where we can check...CPF really did a bad job on this. Not even a single email is sent to us after we submit the application to confirm everything....

For bank-in into cimb.sg, need to download hardcopy forms, certified at embassy, etc.

I think they'll only contact you if there's any issues with your application, don't think there's any reason for rejection since it's open to all now.

Also I did mine online, I got an immediate reply the next day saying I'm missing info on 2 pages. Resubmitted and they said looks good and their guys will process it. I'm guessing if you did it in person they would double check to make sure no missing info.

Can't wait for it to be approved though smile.gif

Can anyone confirm... From the day you filled in and submitted an online form (which is just for Malaysian) and the day you receive the money, how many days it takes ?

I plan to place booking for a condo and use the cpf money for balance purchase price but I am worried I do not get the money in 3 months...

I will go to Singapore to submit the hardcopy docs personally if I am required to.

Thanks

IMPO as long as REP expired and never go back to Spore to work, then PR status would auto lapse according to REP status
