Week 16: Submit enquiry, CPF replied with a generic answer: "It will take up to 18 weeks"
Week 19: Submit enquiry, CPF replied your money will come in by end of this week
2 days later money bank in to my SG act

So from this I assume if your case has exceeded 18 weeks, they will expedite your case. If less than 18 weeks, they wont bother to check, just reply to you a generic answer.

hi can i ask if you have received your money? if yes, how long it takes from the date your account becomes zero to the date you receive the money? thanks

i submitted all documents needed to close my CPF account at Spore High Comm  KL with Certified copies on 6 March2024 and delivered to CPF Board Spore on 7th March 24. CPF Board Spore received on 14 March 24.
i have received my CPF money on 24 July 24  in Spore May bank Account.

WTA: Since my mum's CPF have already requested to close back in feb 2024.

She no longer working in SG. CPF account (working since 1980's I believe)
She couldn't attend these few months due to personal matters back few months.
She can travel to SG anytime now.

Does she still need to set an appointment with a CPF branch or can walk-in with the necessary documents? (Passport, IC, CPF account number + paper)

it is very annoying, their website stated 12 weeks for online application. my acct is zero since 6th week also, now is the 10th week and no progress.

I wonder if they just purposely drag or simply forget to process until you remind them.

hi, i booked an appointment at cpf maxwell. it said it only needs document below.
it didn't tell me to fill up the form. i reread previouls posts from differnet people...

1) seems i don't need to fill up the form. i just need to bring all these support documents below.

2) btw, if my wife and I go at the same time, do i have to book 2 appointments or 1 appointment is sufficient?

hope someone who went to maxwell can help. I plan to fly in morning, get bank statement signed, then go to cpf maxwell the afternoon. after that, my wife and i will fly back to KL.

Did you bring all these support documents? I can't find where I kept these documents.

CPF letters showing your full name and CPF account number such as Statement of Account, notifications

ICA entry permit – Form 5 or Re-entry permit – Form 7 (applicable for ex-PR only)

Im curious, how do you guys transfer the money back to msia ah? Would it be taxed?

You can request the CPF TT to you.

If over 100k, prepare the statement or doc proof to your bank later to release the money.

No tax. It's not an income.
