After 3 days just walk in

Walked in UTC already today 9.30am. Seems got problem with my application UTC have to call Putrajaya coz they say cannot find my application in the system. Finally can get new passport at 12.20pm.

But the officer wants me to change my IC first before he will release my new passport. So JPN from 12.30pm , 45 ppl ahead of me and got my new IC at 3.35pm.

Hi, I'm in the same situation as you were, applied to renew passport online about a week ago and still no email from them. When you walked into UTC, do you need to take a number or just go straight to the counter?

Process smooth , thank you Immigration UTC KL

1. Done photoshop passport , applied online, finger print error
(2/3/24 Saturday take photo, apply and gotten reply at Monday 4/3/24 about finger print error)

2. Reach over there at 8:30am, no need take QMS code , go counter 1, present :
-ic
-receipt
-old passport
-email reply ( if they ask )

3. After they check the 3/4 item, they will give u 2 piece of paper with same queue number

4. When it is your queue number turn, go to the counter and have your finger print register and present IC, email , receipt and old passport, after that they will take the old passport and ic to process

5. they will tell u to wait for 30 minute-1 hours -2 hours then refer to counter 10/11, depend the queue number , u might need wait longer , they will take the queue number , remember u had 2 piece of same number early ? they take the 1 for themselves , remember there is no need to do QMS queue number !!

6. after the long wait, when it is your queue number turn , u pass them the same queue number u had early , they will ask u to do finger print scan again and check the details in the new passport and sign once confirm. They will return the old passport which is look like damaged meaning that cant be used but it will be useful when you go outside country because sometime they ask to see old passport ( refer to the viral news korean case where they rejected a malaysian person because they didnt bring old passport )

7. u are done and off you go to do work, earn money and travel

Sorry now only see your msg. I just walked in and take the number. Online application no need queue early in the morning.

Tips: try to get to passport renewal approval online before going. Only took me 10-15 minutes to get my passport for collection case.

For other cases such as photo/ fingerprint rejection can still go but waiting time will be much longer. The girls who queue in front of me was told to come back after 2.15 pm for afternoon session.

Guys help. Just realized passport dah nak mati. UTC Keramat if i can get number through online QMS i can walk in to renew passport ke tomorrow morning? Need to bring what meh?, if let say can walk in. Not senior citizen.

Tried to get number from QMS on a sunday 10 March 2024. Last Sunday before ramadan starts. I woke up at 550 am and mentally prepared myself for hunger game like experience. At 6 am, tried to get 'Get Ticket'. No luck. System was like down or refreshing at 6.02, 6.03 AM. Tried and tried no luck. By 6.07 the numbers are gone. Just like Keyser Soze.

Hi I want to ask two questions about Wangsa Maju immigration office.

1) I applied online and got the email that says that my passport is available for collection, do I still need to queue up for number when I want to collect that day (because my email didn't specify when I can collect) or can I just straight walk in and collect my passport?

2) My family member got problem with fingerprint, does she need to like up for number when she wants to get her passport too?

If you are referring to Wangsa Maju branch, walk in to counter 1.
Remember to bring
1) IC
2) Payment receipt (print out)
3) Email stating fingerprint issue

Sure or not? The other day i went kelana jaya at 7 already long queue until the mamak and beyond leh.. somemore when come my turn take no have to wait 50 more ppl... waited 3 hrs plus to be my turn when my turn process the documents etc then ask to wait again another 1 hr plus for collection.. all in all half day gone..

You sure what you mention above accurate? Dont bullshit ok.. all i know and i withness my own eyes kelana jaya everytime is full and long queue one to make passport.... dont bullshit and give ppl wrong info!! The queue is super long if you dont come early.. i ask some those in the queue they say come as early as 5pm ( kiasu) and queue if you want to be below 10 in the queue...

Yes correct.. if you go kelana jaya and queue around 5pm it will be fast... go get a small ikea stool or chair and sit at your queue if you dont fancy standing for 3 hrs plus ( office open at 8am). The other day i was there at 530 the queue already at mamak still acceptable la top 20...

Sir/Madam, don't simply throw accusations. See the date of when I posted it. Check your calendar and see what year it is now.

Things may have changes since then. My experience almost 2 years ago may not 100% reflect today's situation. Please always check when the post is and see if it's recently or long enough for any processes to change.

Guys, i renewed online and seems cap jari tidak sah. I need to go to Shah Alam office. Question: shah alam office, in my case need to que for number also ke?

Went to shah alam immigration on thursday. Queue tak panjang. They give no. Number different than people who walk in. Overall 1 hour process. Awesome.

Sharing my experience at Wangsa Maju immigration centre.

I applied online and lulus, so I just went to line up, get number and get my passport in less than 15 minutes.

But my family member say cop jari not sah, when we went there they tell us is because IC is not the one with two photos, so we had to go to UTC first to renew IC, also very quick, the process took like 1 hour so we can still go back to the immigration centre and renew passport, got the passport in 30 minutes.

Applied for passport renewal for my kid online today and managed to submit the application and made payment. However, received another email saying fingerprint error.

Anyone have any idea do I need to get the queue number via QMS and line up in UTC Selangor or just walk up to queue counter to get special queue number for online renewal?

Does senior citizen walk in to Utc to renew passport also need to take queue number using QMS app ?

Sharing renew Msian passport experiencen IN KL Jalan Duta branch:

Branch: Main Imigresen office in Jalan Duta

Applied online and paid RM200 online.

Did not receive any email. But if did not receive email, go to the office where you apply online after 3 working day (see attached photo point #3).

So on 3rd day, I went to imigresen office in Jalan Duta (as i choose Jalan Duta online).

Went there at 7:30am but it only opens at 8am (not sure if only puasa time).

Q was very long already for walk in. For online application, Q is separate and shorter compared to walk in. Q at kaunter 11 to get number. But i was at number 16 already.

After getting number, wait to be called to get cap jari and or photo.

Usually its the cap jari problem. They took cap jari (cos they werent able to get from JPN IC dept). They gave choice if want retake the uploaded online photo.

After that go to next door B Q again and wait for release of passport.

Finished around 10:15am
(+- 3 hrs).

Today unusually many people since its a long weekend and Imigresen was closed Thursday.

Advised:
To apply and pay online then visit imigresen after 3rd working day if did not receive email. Walk in Q too long.

Note: For walk in, Imigresen will prioritise seniors and young children. So if many seniors and children, normal people will be pushed back somemore.
