Is it for normal passport renewal up to 5 business days?
Mine was renewal and fees paid on 23 Nov (Thursday) 9:20am, expected to collect by 30 Nov or 1 Dec for this case?

My friend did renew last week and he collected it on the same business day.

Can i walk in afternoon after their lunch hour? Will have another round of number distribute?

I made an online application + payment at 9pm last Sunday for collection at Putrajaya branch, until now Wednesday lunchtime still no news. Checked myonline status showed permohonan sedang diproses, should I just print out the receipt and go Putrajaya? Plan to go on Friday.

Thinking that it would be a quiet day on Sunday, I went to try my luck in the afternoon. The officer advised me to come in the morning to get a queue number.

To renew passport walk-in, just bring old passport and mykad? If utc keramat, must get queue number using qms first?

I renew mine last week and got it on the same day.

Anyone encounter problem with their photo upload system? I already edit the photo based on the spec, but after upload, the photo display there face always become very large. The crop & position tool there do not seem to have any effect also

Last time I also encountered similar problem.
Luckily got one photo shop who helped me to upload photo online with small fee.
Just go to photo shop nearby that offers this service.

Sorry if these are repeated questions and has already been answered.

1. I have submitted my passport renewal application today ([B]4:20 p.m.) via online and my payment status was successful.
However, I did not receive any acknowledgment or confirmation email (yet).

My email address have been checked multiple times and I am confident that my email address is accurate. I have checked my Spam folder and none there. Is this normal to receive a delayed acknowledgment ?

2. May I know how long will it take for the renewal process ? I am hoping to collect it on 14th December but will I be notified once it is ready for collection?

3. Will I need to make an appointment via https://sto.imi.gov.my/STO/booking.php for passport collection ? Or just walk in ? I have chosen my collection centre as Kajang.

I also tried before, thought I clever but got rejected. Later do properly, very fast approved and settle.

Their picture upload has problem even it was cropped accordingly.

Just proceed for resubmission of photo at imigresen center and provide them the rejected email as proof of STO. You no needed the daily quota ticket as early morning the ticket will be finished.

Just get a ticket for resubmission photo and collect on the same day. Takes about 1 hour for the process till collection of passport.

Estimated you will get the feedback on the same day or next working day.

This is the sample of the feedback and can be used as STO to resubmit the photo at imigresen center. They will take your photo on the spot so please prepare dark color dress/shirt as compliance to the passport renewal process.

Did they asked you to take new photo on the spot as per my instructions?

submitted my application on 7th December and got my feedback on 8th December. The officer informed that it takes 3 working days from the date of your online submission. Usually the unsuccessful applications' feedback is quicker than the successful ones according to her. Picked up my passport this morning at Kajang branch. The process was pretty straightforward and it took about 1 - 2 hours in total. Only one counter was open to those who had inaccurate photo measurement /fingerprint (Counter 13 was open) and when I enquired, I was told that most of their staff are in quarantine due to surge in Covid cases.

Please mask up if you are going there or generally any immigration centre as they are crowded.

Hi all, Sharing my experience recently...Applied for it online for the first time. The application was processed and rejected at the same day - due to masalah gambar dan captangan. Next day, I uploaded the same old photo but I cropped it nicely . Surprisingly it passed and I was informed the same day to visit the designated office due to masalah captangan sahaja. One week later, I went to the Imigresen to collect my passport. Went there around 7 am, and there was like 20 persons ahead of me. By 8 am, an officer came and easily 10 persons ahead for me were rejected for various reasons. I received my queue number and I were given ticket number 11. They started calling the number around 8.15 am and by 9.00 am it was my turn. The officer requested me to take the photo again at the counter even though I told him the photo was taken at a studio and its not a selfie...By 9.45 am, I collected my passport and left the place.

Ok done renewing passport

- ownself took pic with white walls behind, use cutout pro https://www.cutout.pro/passport-photo-maker/upload to change format to passport picture

- processing took 2 business days. Got approved immediately, no reuploads, no cap jari

- went to pickup at utc keramat just now at 4pm, despite long lines, after taking number took less than 10 minutes before they call me to get my new passport
