Hi guys, recently I have had some problems with the 300mbps UNIFI package, it is slow, I keep getting buffering on my TV box, as well as 抖音 or TikTok. I am not sure is there anything wrong with the modem or what, I am using the latest modem from UNIFI, which is the Fiberhome SR1041Y router, I have two of them and the second one is connected as a mesh router via LAN cable from ground floor to the upper floor. The TV Box is connected to the main router. I am planning to change to AX73 for stronger coverage since my upper floor is unable to get a good connection although there is a mesh router on the upper floor. Can I get some advice on this?

for videos sometime will abit issue due to their dns region route. sometimes it will assign you to china cache server, unless you build your own dns resolver pointer and add local server IP.

Received a call today from TM offering me new box with 3 additional apps and all
Channel subscription at the same plan pricing but need to sign up 2 year contract.

Was wondering if anyone has got similar offer from TM and isit worth it?

As long as the pricing maintain at RM159 even after contract, it is worth it. Where else in Malaysia do you find 800mbps with calls and TV pack at this price?

If they're going to use VPN anyway, best to disable IPv6 to avoid leakage and unintended routing. Make life simpler and safer.

You're going to hide behind a single gateway anyways similar to private/CGNAT IP and want to route only through that single gateway. Disable IPv6 simplify things.

Wow! I asking RM159 for 500mbps, they also no give in. Yours is 800mbps already worthy.

I'm on Lite actually. Unsure if copper lines degrade at night?? Shouldn't be right? It must been the international linkage that shares with Fiber users, the common routing congestion at night. I'm ok on Lite actually except the high wait time for website to respond at night. I don't need bandwidth above 10mbps as I dont use media consumption too much. What is absolutely hated is the lag between request and response for web, once the response comes can see the html page will load continuously, but when URL entered and submitted there's a huge lag before the website response, both local and international. i think ipv6 and ipv4 similar experience.

I get the same package 800Mb/s all channels & unlimited calls @ RM189 & I would not renew my contract whatsoever unless UniFi makes a huge improvement on their package such as symmetrical speed for both download & upload

2 years is a short time and I am sure that Time will not expand rapidly in whole of Malaysia. Unless he is staying in high rise in KL or certain states covered by Time, do not expect anything.
