Sg money market funds are paying close to 4% (~3.9%) with no restrictions on amount unlike out Malaysians money market fund.

Ya, its not that bit. It's the withdrawal and transfer between country bit. At the end, this is supposed to be a rainy day fund that can be accessed almost immediately.

So I'm not going to be too aggressive about it. Just keep up with inflation and abit more cukup.

See that's the thing.
In more sophisticated societies this kind of thing will be frown on.

Here in Malaysia. People are proud of putting their money into investments even if it's a loss making one. And the investment managers continue getting their huge bonuses etc.

3.5% is quite disappointing indeed
but the risk among mmf might not be standardised either

and the lesson from svb where bond is not safe investment all the time

however, the most annoying part of kdi is the inability to assess risk

30k for promo limit and followed by Base net return as it is lower on promo rates by 20% with the exception of Feb

Malaysia MMF is on promo rates otherwise they won’t be paying above 3% atm 🤦‍♀️

The restrictions are there only for promo rates but not for the entire fund 🤦‍♀️

Deposited 15k into kdi Save yesterday around 1040am and still pending now.

Yesterday 10.12am transfer from OCBC in for the day...

Have been withdrawing and depositing nearly every 2 or 3 days apart. Amounts ranging from 2k to 45k each time. Depositing from Maybank at 10:40am yesterday. Just checked - still pending.

Check with Maybank side 🤦‍♀️ might have issues if it is not deducted from your account or Trustee haven’t received it from them yet

I rang FPX and they said the funds will be in my acct after work today. Fpx says it can take 1 to 3 days for funds to show.

First time it is taking 2 days to show. Normally by around 4.30pm i would see the funds being deposited when i put in before 11am.

If FPX informed you that then problem lies in Maybank end 🤦‍♀️

Otherwise you can try other banks to see whether the problem persists

Actually i just check after writing my previous post and the 15k is in.

I have deposited at least 40 or 50 times in the past 3 months and each time it will show after 4.30pm on the same day - first time this has happened showing credited amount the second day even though funds were deposited before 11am..

Then you ask Maybank why is this happening because the fault lies in their end 🤦‍♀️

Sorry i meant to say Kdi and not fpx - my mistake.

I have been typing in fpx instead of kdi. I meant to say that i deposited in 15k to Kdi Save and amount is not showing on Kdi.

I am getting a bit of dementia at age 61

If it is only Maybank customers affected I am sure many would have make noises before you

I didn't want to kick a big fuss out of it - all i want is to be able to see the funds in my acct.

They did send me an email (as i have also logged a case using the Support - Contact Us) saying that funds deposited will be in the acct with 1 or 2 days. I have deleted the email.

Of course not. Not many financial services companies work on weekends, including banks, stock markets, fund managers, etc.
