from a technical point of view, yes should be no problem at all!
but of course, if you have never used macOS before, there's a bit of a learning curve to operate a mac in general, but i think once you are used to with using the multi-touch gestures, you will wish never to go back to windows tongue.gif personally, i can vouch for ms word that it is great on a mac and i use it a lot and interchangeably (between mac and windows), but i dont use the rest that often especially since i prefer keynote for presentation.

I am using Iphone 11 so that's the only apple ecosystems I have. tongue.gif Personally I really want to try out Mac and it's OS but also fear that it might not work well for my work. Heard some friends' stories that it is not user friendly compare to windows.
I think my biggest usage if i changed to Mac will be MS office so I don't think it is an issue. Do you have any problem using MS office in Mac? Heard that it is not as stable as windows. Is that true?
*
iphone 11 is good enough smile.gif so you got a jizz of the ecosystem at least... I've been using office 365 for over a decade and hasn't looked back at windows.. I mean coming from 2 decades of Windows user here.. I think they both runs well.. of course at the beginning when I switched over to mac I find Windows is better..hut that's almost comparing a 20 years of experience vs 1 month.. not apple to apple comparison... today though I think they both runs the same.. at least to me.. speaking of stability..ive been using words excel PowerPoint outlook etc.. they feel the same.. I'm not a heavy intense Microsoft office user so probably there are things I don't see unstable on the mac..

Hi, so that means i should choose mac or PC? tongue.gif
*
grab the mac since it's paid off from company.. and obviously its a bias decision coz you are asking here in apple byte section tongue.gif

A new OS will definitely get some use to. If you are willing to learn, you will soon find windows unbearable.

how do you find the magnetic cover bro? does it easily open and slip through your mbp if you put it upside down? (i mean is it as strong as a zip - which wont open even you put it upside down and even shake it) hmm.gif

For those of you who are interested in running Win11 via Parallels on your M1 MacBook Pro, here's an excellent walkthrough.

I already own Parallels but upgraded to Parallels 17 for RM160ish.

The Windows11 download was free. So far it's not bugged me to license the version I downloaded as a "windows insider" following the instructions here:

It will slip if upside down, don't expect it to be like a zip. I hate zip so much that I stop using my other Samsonite backpack because of the possibility the zip scratching the laptop.

Loving it so far. I don't quite bother about the look, no time for it. Battery is great, almost 4 hours zoom daily but still able to charge it once every 2-3 days. Is anybody planning to buy this? Polishing Cloth

Office is very stable at Mac. Just you dont get the full fledge functions in Mac. But if you are normal user, it should be fine.

No installment from apple store online, but you can pay with your credit card and make separate arrangement with your card for installment, however, there will be interest charged… if you want interest free installment just get it from AASP like Machines/ Switch/ ITWorld etc..

That must be a long wait..64GB only shipped in January if I am not mistaken..M1 Max 24 cores also push to January. This become rare specs at least in December.

Pulled the trigger and bought the 16 inch base model. Estimated delivery 23-30 Dec.

Just wondering if anyone uses a thin screen protector and any tips in cleaning/taking care of the screen as I noticed it gets smudges and finger prints on it pretty easily.

so far no. but to be fair I only use Words, Powerpoints and Outlook. The rest not relevant to me. I cant comment much on extra functions in excel or other 365 products.

Imo best way to take care of the screen is to use it without any protection..do a light cleaning with cloth if it smudges too much, which it shouldn’t, coz it’s not touch screen…only at parts that you pull the lid up like the notch and the corners..the more protection applied to the screen the higher the risk of spoiling it..

i m using it but due to poor installation, there is bubble which pretty much normal. However, the screen attract more dust and get dirty more easily. So i just remove it for now.
