I learned my lesson the hard way.

Am an OCD guy myself, so I naturally used tissue + sanitizer alcohol to wipe my 2013 MBP 15’ after a day out in the cafe during covid.

The laptop seemed fine at first. But the next day the screen gave up and gave a purple + green display. Was shocked and the repair  costed RM2k+, which I decided against and went with a new MBP instead.

Please learn from my lesson. Alcohol sanitizer doesn’t go well with MBP screen, unless you want to risk damaging that sweet XDR display, and then cough out thousand to repair.

iphone 11 is good enough so you got a jizz of the ecosystem at least... I've been using office 365 for over a decade and hasn't looked back at windows.. I mean coming from 2 decades of Windows user here.. I think they both runs well.. of course at the beginning when I switched over to mac I find Windows is better..hut that's almost comparing a 20 years of experience vs 1 month.. not apple to apple comparison... today though I think they both runs the same.. at least to me.. speaking of stability..ive been using words excel PowerPoint outlook etc.. they feel the same.. I'm not a heavy intense Microsoft office user so probably there are things I don't see unstable on the mac..
grab the mac since it's paid off from company.. and obviously its a bias decision coz you are asking here in apple byte section

Office is very stable at Mac. Just you dont get the full fledge functions in Mac. But if you are normal user, it should be fine.

so far no. but to be fair I only use Words, Powerpoints and Outlook. The rest not relevant to me. I cant comment much on extra functions in excel or other 365 products.

hahaha.. you are right.. I just want to try something new because all my life has been with windows so want to jump to another wife.

I think for now, i will be using a lot of office for work related. Other than that, not sure what to use yet.

not sure..because myself is a advance user for Microsoft Excel..found mac version tend to be limited.

Finally the wait is over for me. Will self pickup later since it just nearby to me. If delivery for sure it will be tomorrow.

I think the number one difference is that the new MacBook Pros are really fast and cool, it doesn't feel hot and the fans don't spin up like the Intel ones right?

Just received mine today after getting hold at Shanghai 3 days. My opinion on this;

1. Way faster than my 2020 MBP Intel i5. It handle my workflow without buffer.

2. My spec is M1 Max 24 cores 1TB. I guess for M1 Max, the heat is more than M1 pro. My laptop bit warm during testing to edit some picture raw files. Just a slight warm. Nothing near the definition of warm if using intel MBP. Intel is hot even just do a normal browsing.

3. The screen is really gorgeous. The colour is really pop if you are doing creative works.

4. The laptop feel solid and well build. A bit heavy as well.

seems like no one recommend MAC here for business though..

Yeap it’s a bit heavy but every time when I feel that I will remind myself the 14” is not way lighter anyways, definitely lighter but not like the difference between. 16” vs 13” the previous model..and the extra juice and screen real estate make up for it…my overall take though = still depends on personal preference and lifestyle..no point going for 26 for battery and screen if you travel a lot and needed the portability..

Is that silver btw? nowadays hard to tell coz different angle show different shade
