I verbally just agreed and said I would need their pay slips and when they emailed, I saw RM 10k+ which means I would need to offer them RM 12k. Is that a problem for the company? No. We can even pay more but this is NOT BEING HONEST. These kind of people should be exposed. I don't think it's right for anyone to exploit the system and the reason people do it is because everything is confidential. That is the bloody problem.

why would anyone agree to an increase without first knowing the figure?

since you already have a figure in mind, which is less than half of what they're asking, they wont get onboard anyway. no harm no foul, unless there's something you're not telling us.

this just smells like someone trying to correct a mistake.

Lol TS. Salary is PnC. Candidates can choose to reveal the truth or not. But for sure no MNC is stupid to risk their company with the govt due to PDPA. This Act covers personal data of an employee.

As for your choice to hire them or not, if you can't pay or decided to lowball, then don't hire. Mai be cheapskate offer salary suddenly wanna go back against it. Shows your value and dignity as a hiring manager.

Luckily I don't work for cheapskate companies like yours. And that is why I don't work for Chinaman companies. Capalang company. Stingy, cheapskate, and with sampah mentality. I've been in audit line for years before going to MNC. Seen many of these capalang companies during my audit. Some even tried to woo me from my audit firm with a low salary, saying they are paying above market rate. Sampah. Today I'm earning so big, I should congrats my younger self for refusing to join these capalang companies. There's a reason companies like Vitrox can go so big in barely 15 yrs against a company like yours, who even need to beg a friend from MNC for help. Hahaha jokers.

I don't think TS should be asking his pay slip. If you can afford to pay him his asking salary, then hire la, if not then find other candidates la. Simple

if you don't think they are worth that amount then move on to other candidates la. if you think they're so good that its worth it for you to commit crime, then just offer it to them la.

LOL I just go hired by a MNC. They didn't ask upfront how much I earn. I gave them my payslip when the HR team ask me for it. She says my salary is quite high for my pay grade. Then after a few days, they came back telling me I'll be given a higher position to justify my pay grade and gave me an even better package lol lol.

If you think u can't pay 12k+, then offer what you can give. If they can't accept, move on je la. Why die die want lowball. Kopitiam is a jokers corner. Lol your post got downgraded leh. We can. I went for interview once. They asked for it, which I refused to give. Then they came back offering a salary almost same with my current salary. They felt I jack up my numbers to fake it. I decided not to respond. Another company came along offering me what I want without payslip. I joined them. The stingy company asked why wait 2 weeks only decided to reject them. They don't have that much time to joke around. I told them "if your company so stingy can low ball me and don't trust my numbers, I doubt your company is worth working for. As an employee, I'm entitled to the best on offer". I told them I wasn't joking, but keeping my options open. Just like they hold me for 1 mth after my interview to keep their options open for the best candidate. It's a fair world.

I always said no and yes, Everyone can tell no. No such thing to share the payslip when come to IV or before signing the OL. Take it or leave. the company will have their own budget for the FTE. If you guys cannot commit. Then its okay. unless the employee die die want the job..this fella - TS will be in the winning situation.
