I was really worried of situations like making a u turn and the steering would get stuck. I mean sure, most of the time one would probably be able to quickly steer it harder but, all you need is one bad day and bam, your car crashes into someone elses.

For me personally, the problem here is not having the steering rack issue, the problem here is it is almost unrectifiable. All cars have their own issues, but some people having changed their racks 6 times and are still suffering from the same problem is simply unacceptable. doh.gif

You are absolutely making the right considerations. Fair thoughts.

even to GR86
but I know I will miss some part of the Civic.

It's a love hate relationship right now. Maybe just live with it until it's unbearable or something scratch my itch.

86 BRZ and Civic is pretty close nod.gif

You're only missing 2 doors and boot space
Gain an actual sports coupe NA

For me not yet, at least not fully

I'm looking forward to maybe owning the FL5 CTR tongue.gif

But, see if I can get my hands on a test drive as I know few friends already having theirs.

I won't do that cuz I actually love the Civic and I'm personally ok with the steering rack issue lol

I got quoted 107k for my 2023 V spec . Not even 7k mileage yet is it dumb to let go at this price . I'm already having the steering rack issue sigh , sometimes cornering at roundabout also can feel the stickiness already .

Just let go if its bothering you.

Money can earn back, to me its not worth it if it is bothering you daily.

Probably less than 110k as well. You can try to ask for quote.

Hard to see current batch used FE more than 115k nowadays, thanks to dumbass Honda. I think no more Honda for me anymore.

Can try at FB marketplace, direct owner, low proven mileage etc. At least got demand than cut throat price from Carsome and stuff.

On bold part, no more H Melaka for me either.

Honda is the architect of their own downfall. A good project spoiled by ignorant management. This is not a Malaysia problem, it is a design issue here.

It's now 2 years since the launch and they are still doing "change the part when customer complains". Typically this is only done for 1st batch, and subsequently followed with confirmed fix.

Add to this as safety issue, you cannot take more than 2 years to fix, keep quiet, deny. The loss of good faith becomes loss of good will and that will take years to rebuild. You don't have that.

Don't give up hope for Civic yet....at least wait for the next gen.
This is the odd year curse of Civic generation.

7th Gen Civic almost non existent, no one buy.
Then 8th Gen FD, the rise of Civic again...
Then 9th Gen Kaput
Then 10th Gen FC rise again (corrected)
Now 11th Gen supposedly good in overall but in the end design issue still consider kaput...
Wait for 12th Gen, see see will rise again...

On Track itโ€™s a weapon, but EV has far overcame this type of performance on pure straight road thrills. Price reflects demand.
