so, suppose E spec with 1.5T, manual seats, 7in display with no android auto, 16in, and FABRIC seats, no auto wiper, likely weak sauce speaker system
vs 1.8G electric seat, 9in display, 17in alloy, leather seats, auto wiper, not so weak sauce speakers and "shitty" interior
both same price, which one will you buy? Hypothetically, Rm130k upper estimate for the E spec.
Or would you still feel justified to spend 10k more and uptrim the FE Civic to get everything comparable to the Altis, while keeping the interior that you like? (Which for the purpose of this hypothetical question means 140k for V spec).

| Civic E | RM 125,634.64 |
| Civic V | RM 138,043.36 |
| Civic RS | RM 144,350.09 |
| COROLLA 1.8G | RM 134,505.00 |
| COROLLA 1.8E | RM 123,971.50 |
huge toss up imho
Civic
pros
new global platform
euro conti like interiors
1.5L improved (not all new) L15B7 engine with actual VTEC Lift on exhaust for this version on the FE Civic (year 2015)
Honda Sensing comes standard to easily justify that 10k over Altis
Cons
E spec is a lot of cutting corners to really squeeze that pricing and margins
Honda after sales leaves a lot to be desired
Corolla Altis
pros
Toyota reliability and after sales
competitive pricing
Cons
OMFG dated 2007 - 2016 or 2017 engine / drive train (dynamic force WHERE?!)
CBU thailand not Japan imho is just abang adik than CKD here and imho, just blindly paying tax just cuz CBU
Sauce

let me shake the trend a bit from Mazda 3 owners justifying their purchase > I am a (future) "co" (wife) owner (or more like, ahmad/driver) justifying wife's purchase
I am someone who's into tech and innovation and most of all, appreciates driving pleasure and enjoyment.
And with that, the Civic vs Altis base to base specs imho Civic is a clear winner here.
