but f it. sell off easier

Same spec, same year same mileage as well. Hmmm 95k, but the problem is I don't know what I am gonna replace with if I were to let go. Thinking of Model 3, Mazda 3, Seal even to GR86 and Miata but I know I will miss some part of the Civic.

Took the car for run last Monday PJ-Temiang-Kuala Klawang-Titi-Karak-Genting Sempah-Genting-PJ. Still pun a smile on my face with the ride (both handling and the damping over uneven roads) and power all the way to 160-170 effortlessly without range anxiety haha. My biggest gripe aside the steering rack is the seats shakehead.gif .

It's a love hate relationship right now. Maybe just live with it until it's unbearable or something scratch my itch.

Ya saw FE pricing around 100-120k+ for 22, yr 23 about 120k-130k.
Cuz of these shitty racks pulled down RV.
FC can sell even near 100k for 2018 car

My trigger point was with KPDN, and SC keep telling me nothing wrong. And reading about the issues on FB and Lyn everyday makes me even fired up. doh.gif laugh.gif

and also i just don't like unsolved issues. so just bite the bullet and sell off.

If losing/spending money can get rid of a problem, to me its worth it.

I own FE since Jan this year, changed 1 time steering rack in May (after 1months claim process). The car generally is OK but right after changes, they said the spring issue coz got sound. Next week go replace (claim process 3weeks). BUt i feel that the steering rack still not perfect and somewhere still got sound. And i am SAD with the car due to all these issue. Other than that, i am happy with the car ...

OOT: known any workshop in OKR that can help install honda TPMS? I purchased since april but didn't install it till now ... LOL ...

Should be plug and play but prefer those that have done it before.

Finally saw a video that portrays how bad the steering rack issue is on xiao hong shu, the resistance when turning the steering back to the middle is no joke.

At first I thought it was the tuk tuk sound and the steering couldn't go back to the middle and really wanted to gamble on FE for the pre registered discounts, but after that video, i think my life is worth more than the 20k discount.

I really hope that the facelifted FE addresses this issue, but judging by the current CRVs...

can post a link?
Mine was a small resistance but if you are talking about substantial force needed, then I only heard happen once to my friend's 2014 City.

The irony is I personally believe this was resolved even on day 1 FE since FC already so famous. Now 2nd hand price is a joke, FC 2020 is more expensive than FE 2022. Both models infamous.

The styling of FC holds it value..

FE can’t hold well another factor also the big discounts up to 20k
I think this is the first time I see civic getting so much discounts

The G10 Accord rebates last time kinda high. Thanks to surprisingly high price but getting the "same" as Civic engine, weirdo rear design. Now CRV price at almost rm200k, when many Chinese manufacturers pop in with many more features, lets see in 1 year time. Same FE rebates?

I think the brand in MAS now that has very low or even no discounts is Mazda.
My Mazda 3 only get rm500 discount 😂

Asked around friends/families, they told me that’s Mazda style

Good choice to not buy this car..

I think in lyn car club thread, only civic FE post, owners become ex owners, ex owners ask potential owners not to buy 😂

It’s typical of a sticky steering like mine. But he is doing this video from standstill and even a normal power steering will have some unsmooth and won’t return to center easily. When driving the feeling is not as bad as static. Still, it is not acceptable.

I do wonder what happens when the PDRM's civics start suffering from the steering rack issues...

I was really worried of situations like making a u turn and the steering would get stuck. I mean sure, most of the time one would probably be able to quickly steer it harder but, all you need is one bad day and bam, your car crashes into someone elses.

For me personally, the problem here is not having the steering rack issue, the problem here is it is almost unrectifiable. All cars have their own issues, but some people having changed their racks 6 times and are still suffering from the same problem is simply unacceptable. doh.gif
