Hi just wondering if this is the symptoms of steering rack . Only 6000km mileage in . When my car is fully braked , sometimes when I start moving from the stop position and turn the steering slightly there is a "Tuk" sound .

Other than this no stickiness and no sound on normal moving speed

Thats the early symptom... welcome to the club

Sigh . So the 100k from the other thread is the 2nd hand value offer ? Mine is 2023 , should get 110k at least right .

I just called the bank for the early settlement amount , it will be only rm1k more than my principal around 117k .

Probably only need to top up abit if I manage to get 110k++ from used car seller , this is quite tempting . Don't get me wrong I love the car very much but not really a big fans of having a flaw that have to be replaced so often . doh.gif

The financial bomb that might come after warranty period is over and this steering rack flaw keeps repeating itself. Steering rack is really not cheap.

Exactly . If possible I wanted to have a car that last for another 10 years

ahh its you at the other thread..
yours is V spec?

I'm gonna decide within this month to let go my FE and get other new car.

2 scenarios i analyze
- either i bite the bullet and sell off before facelift civic launch (to try save some value on the FE)
- use the car until 4th year only decide, which i have to live with the stupid steering rack issues and make myself stress and fedup for another 2 years

From what i read on FB, even new CRVs also affected already doh.gif .  I highly doubt those so called improved parts for FE will solve the problem once and for all.

Yeah its a V-spec 2023 . Yours is V-spec as well right .

I think selling it off before the facelift launch might be a good idea , to me I can't really stand the issues . Even my 10+ years old Kimchi car has no issues like this .

Cross posting from CR-V thread since Civic has this too...

What does everyone think about LKAS + ACC w/ LSF? Basically both lane keep assst enabled and also adaptive cruise control.

This is my first car with this feature and so far I like it but it's a bit scary still to fully trust the car.

Do you guys use it all the time on highways? What about city traffic stop and go? Any tips and tricks folks should be aware of?

LKAS is just a steering assist , doesn't mean you should let go of your hand . Less effort to handle , quite handy in time but that's about it . In lower speed or when the lanes have no clearly defined line , it wont work .

I got quoted 107k for my 2023 V spec . Not even 7k mileage yet is it dumb to let go at this price . I'm already having the steering rack issue sigh , sometimes cornering at roundabout also can feel the stickiness already .

Same for me, I'm planning to switch to an EV as well. How much can a 2022 Civic RS sell for?  hmm.gif

Probably less than 110k as well. You can try to ask for quote.

Hard to see current batch used FE more than 115k nowadays, thanks to dumbass Honda. I think no more Honda for me anymore.
