Very nice and understanding hubby??? shakehead.gif doh.gif

Hehhh, not really without a good fight lor to get him to understand tongue.gif

Look left and right, is your hubby standing beside when you write this?  unsure.gif  hehe

Yeah, he call the cage a ZOO doh.gif

My family calls me a Vet, my friends call my home 'mini safari'. They like to come by, so many interesting wildlife creatures, and FOC..

Haha, I say until their last breath cuz I hope to be taking care of them until that, I don't wanna go first and leave them with no one to care for them like I do wink.gif

I know I won't be able to add anymore suggies cuz I need to think about adding kids pulak doh.gif

Wish that your children will be like olive shoots around your table laugh.gif
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth..
Sons are a heritage and children a reward..
But all have to face the reality, when one has a family to care for, there won't be time for animals..UNLESS you gonna be a homemaker..
In fact, i turned down my company offer of advancement in Sinagpore because my commitment to my animals and i think it's worth..

This is a very informative and interesting thread, great info. I fall in love with SG after seeing myself some very tame and attached SGs, but i also understand that this bonding dont come easy!

Thanks for sharing all the experience, at least me who didnt own a SG, can feel the fun too by just browsing this thread.

maybe you can give to your kids after this ...(when they know about suggies la.. laugh.gif)
suggies offspring to your own offspring..
and the line will continue...and the suggies will be part of the family..
*

Haha, I don't think it's such a good idea to give suggie offsprings to your offsprings and so on so forth...

Even tho I love pets A LOT, what if my kids don't??

I will just be keeping these 4 until then smile.gif

So when I have a kid, they'll have older suggie brothers and sisters tongue.gif Hahahaha laugh.gif

Raising suggies provide the first and foremost training ground for experience that is comparative to basic parenting.
For those who are on the the road towards parenting, if you surpass in handling your suggies, you are prepared for the greater challenge!

The new hamster

Years ago, a tiny furry rodent became the pride and joy of many a family in Malaysia - hamsters graced the windows of pet stores while cats and dogs fumed in the background as potential buyers gushed over the tiny creatures.

They were cheap, cute and required little maintenance. Except for cleaning their cages and feeding them, hamsters pretty much took care of themselves.

However, the Mesocricetus auratus is now a thing of the past. Youngsters and adults alike have a new craze - and it's called the Sugar Glider.

The small gliding possum originates from Australia, and was recently introduced to Malaysia.

Freelance 3D animator Mohd Sufiennaz Md Ali purchased his first Sugar Glider last November for RM350, and is going to buy a female companion for Iggy (as he was christened).

"Sugar Gliders are social creatures - they don't like living alone. They have a tendency to die of loneliness, but luckily for Iggy, he has my cat to keep him company," says Sufiennaz, 28.
The creatures, which can grow up to 21cm in length, is able to glide mid-air for almost 50m, thanks to their 'gliding membranes', which is skin stretched from the fifth finger of the forelimb back to the first toe of the hind foot.

Sufiennaz is just recovering from an allergic reaction to Iggy's poop and pee, but that hasn't stopped him loving his little friend any less.

"They are very neat except for the fact that they pee everywhere. I have to confine him to a single room," he explains.

He also notes that Sugar Gliders are extremely temperamental creatures, with mood swings that often end in biting fits.

"Of course, their bite doesn't make you bleed. But they have no qualms about showing you that they're unhappy," chuckles Sufiennaz.

Iggy eats nuts and bits of fruit on normal days, but when he's been good and obedient, Sufiennaz makes him scrambled eggs and treats him with cat biscuits.

"It seems everyone is getting Sugar Gliders. I had been thinking about it for the longest time and now that I have Iggy I can't wait to extend the family," he says.

Haha, am reading this article about gliders and cats in Star Two..

Iggy is famous now...haha.

Anyway it's just a coincidence of two having the same name.

Alright KP, am longing to know your lil new gliders' name, waiting to be intorduced..
And since i have kept my gliders' names anonymous all this while, is it time to unfold the curtains? hmm.gif hmm.gif

I declined because they wanted to make a story about me bringing my suggies to work...

I don't wanna make it that public that you can start bringing suggies to work and I don't wanna make it seem so easy one...

If they had wanted to make a story about keeping suggies and such, I would've accepted it...

Sighhh... I was worried more of the bad outcome... sad.gif

I'll try and ask my colleague again if they would wanna make a different story lah...

We are actually planning to try and make a media coverage about it IF we were to held the gathering lor... Get a reporter to cover/write about our gathering... But until now got no time to realise that gathering... sweat.gif
