For difference of RM20 like that don't look back you have better peace of mind. What is the use of 300M when you only will be given private IP, lousy international connectivity and lots of congestion issues.

Everyday also you hear people complain Reddit slow, Youtube slow, that slow.

My office got both Unifi and Time. Both like day and night difference.

MAXIS ride on unifi , so how come there are better? Time not serving in my area. So better keep for unishit as they has faster reaction to issues.

MAXIS ride on unifi *INFRA* Only
connect you from Maxis Data Centre - Your House
Network is different , using their own backbone

The prob is more about international gateway, is Maxshit using same gateway? How about best available speed or bottleneck?

I guess vpn is the only way to temporary solve the problem...
To solve this we need alot of people to report mcmc at the same time,or else no more further fix will be applied for unifi.

3ms or 3000ms? Should be 3ms i think?
fdc routing not optimized for me,so i think it is normal.
Just now my area electricity maintainance so power down. Just power on my RPi 20min ago, now accessible already.

Oracle sg to unifi also not stable.
For azure it is because of the private peering between Microsoft and Unifi,so the connectivity is good.

I called TM just now to mention I was considering termination and asked about the procedure. Also snuck in a "Maxis agent told me this and that" lie.

Will wait and see if they call back with a counter offer. I'm on Unifi500 currently paying RM179 (RM189.75 after sst). If I get a discount of at least RM30 and still retain my public IP and free phone calls, I might bite even if there's a 24month contract.

That RM30 will go to a OVHCloud 500mbps instance (roughly SGD10 if I sign-up for 24months) which I'll configure as a WireGuard tunnel to bypass TM's dodgy peering.

Penang here is TIME territory.

Even shophouses and landed business offices also got TIME Fibre infra already.

TIME Business is offering 100MBps Symmetrical RM138/mth for SMEs. Might not be the cheapest but they're giving 2 phone lineswith DECTS phones(2 phone numbers) with it.

So I’m using Unifi house WiFi. Basically ever since the submarine cabling issues back in late December 2021, I’ve always been getting high jitter, around 13-20% packet loss, and slightly higher ping when gaming on Asia server especially at night. But when I’m gaming on a different server, I don’t get any jitter or packet loss and it feels smoother to play even though the ping is higher. Anyone facing a similar issue? It’s much better now but I can still feel the issue is there.

This Ookla speed test was done before the submarine cable fault. See how smooth the graph it and how low the ping and jitter is

Compared to now, sometimes the graph don’t look smooth and the ping or jitter will be quite high

Sorry I might sound like a newbie asking this, but how do I enable IPV6 on my house Unifi? And will it fix the packet loss I’m facing at night everyday?

By default, IPV6 is enabled for all Unifi users.
