Wow, good job there sang_karim with your rig smile.gif 40C on load is nice, but I think you can push more out of it don't you think so? tongue.gif Try using Prime95 Multithread, I think it's more reliable than Orthos since it's old.

I don't trust the Gromacs test on Orthos anymore since it doesn't detect errors in Prime95 Small FFT tests. After running the said test I didn't even know that my processor wasn't stable!

And to raymond5105, my condolences to you and your family. Such people should never be forgotten in our hearts.

Haha.. Scare already. Later dead then gota migrade. laugh.gif By then, now dont have much time for OC. Its not a fun job thou.. Drain time for make it work! Wait my XMS arrived then see how. Gota pick up PSU 1st! XD

@sang
it should be ok for rising ur vcore to 1.475v. Mine i dare up ttil 1.55v before! brows.gif As long as ur PSU can continuesly supply the current and good cooling it should be ok. Did ur casing side panel is taken away?

@albert
I think sang's temp is quite ok. I could reach that in a normal ambient with full load. Without aircon thou. laugh.gif

@colin
Prime95 Multithread is the latest one? laugh.gif Wanna try it after i got my PSU back to line!

It's accurate..... test edi cry.gif
Previously it was 7.3V... I change the psu and the reading goes up to 8V rclxub.gif

By then guys, i found something weird wanna ask here. From what i read at OCZ website, they claim that their DDR Booster allows VDIMM adjustments up to 3.9V. Is that means, the booster itself can supply up til 3.9v vidimm to the memory without mobo control? Meaning if by using this tools, we can adjust the vidimm by our own instead of set it at bios?

Source: Click Here

P/s: Gratz for ur achievement. But stay tune when ur doing priming.. brows.gif Error might just pop out in a sudden and sweep away all ur mood. Btw, if can, do priming for more then 12hrs then can estimate ur rigs is stable or not. 20mins-2hrs somehow still unable to clarify ur system is stable.

hmm...perhaps just try plug in another psu and try to see whether the psu you currently using is ok or not. or try change the power socket. Just my 2 cents

Wow, 38.9sec very fast. You can squeeze more on the ram timing i think, maybe making it 2-3-3-8. rclxms.gif

@raymond
Sorry to hear that your grandma passed away. sad.gif Anyway cheer up. As for the 7600GT, i think now Lowyat mostly carry the Winfast model, A7600GT. Intrested eh? tongue.gif

@fylon
I try play with DDR booster before. Yeap, you set the voltage through a potentiometer knob on the module itself. Using it then you will not be able to change the bios VDimm, but not all mobo can sustain till 3.9V. smile.gif

@ac_N1
That is weird, changing new PSU and yet still low. Perhaps power cord issue? hmm.gif

2-3-3-8 for sang-karim ram will not be possible i think as it's not the famous chipset in used.
try 2.5-3-3-8 instead, maybe it can run. who knows. biggrin.gif

as for the DDR booster, try to search in the OCZ forum about how to used it. it only support certain
mobo to hit 3.9V. not all mobo can be tune to that high of vdimm.
the vdimm can be set till 3.9V was due to the DDR booster draw the 5V from PSU. so theorically, u can tune it till
5V max(theory only) but heck, who cares about that. u can fly high with BH5 chip even with 3.4V if u get the good chip.

anyway, fylon, did u confirm that yr xms was using the famous BH5 chipset?

rgds,
Albert

hehe .. 2.5-3-3-8 aa ... will try it toningt and try running prime95 first for stability test ... my kvr only with psc chipset and i think my oc won't go this high with 1:1 divider ... will try with 1:1 divider to look for highest ram oc ... hehe ... now i know how much fun doing this oc ... rclxms.gif

i think running at cas2.5 shouldnt be a big problem as your ram is running at 200mhz, which is at ddr400. mostly value ram running at 2.5-4-4-8 but will do well in 2.5-3-3-6 wink.gif

smaller number = tighter timing = perform better

tightest timing for ddr1 is 2-2-2-5, where loosest timing is 3-4-4-8. hope can help. hehe..... for more detail i think at overclock united there got pinned thread mentioning about ram timing stuffs. icon_idea.gif

Both timing here won't give you boost unless you are using tighter one.For value RAM i think it's considered good to have such timing already. CL2.5 is hard to get sometimes.

hehe .. so tighter timing to get high ram speed ... will try with that 2.5-3-3-8 first ... if won't work .. will be happy with that 3-3-3-8 setting .. it's only valueram not the high performance one ... sweat.gif
