These are the motherboards that i've used before that can push my 3.0E to 4GHz without any hickups:

What's important to me is the mobo itself.

is it because u didn't supply enuf vdimm?
usually 2.8V can give a good BH5 to run 2-2-2-5@DDR440

seriously, running 4dimm was no go for all platform, not to mention S478.
try get 2 X 512MB ram and OC kaw-kaw.

here are some advice :

1. change your ram:fsb ration. make ram running 100 or 133mhz,
then start to clock up fsb to find the best cpu clock. while doing that, run some prime or orthos to stress the cpu for stability. (pls do with stock vcore 1st)

2. once u had the cpu sweet spot, start work with ram. see how much yr ram can be clock with stock timing & vdimm.

3. it's best if u can compile the oc attemp into excel sheet so that is easier for u to refer .

4. after u had both ram and cpu sweet spot, try to match them up for the best combination. refer the excel file earlier to make the best OC.

*remember to try this at stock Vcore/Vdimm 1st. slowly increase the
voltage after u had obtain the best OC to squeeze even more mhz from it. remember to burn in your system (best if over night) for stability check.

Ha.. Dont la.. Later make shame ar! Haha! Yup.. Was planning to take off the kingston ram and see how it perform. Since the other pair ram is hynix D43 chip i bet it can goes beyond 240fsb thou.
Wah.. Advises from 'old folk' eh! Haha.. Jk jk! Thanks for the advise albert. Really learn alot! Tonight go home try with 2 stick hynix and see how it perfrom. Else then gota lower down the ratio. As for me, i prefer to run at full 1:1.. But that kinda hard for 4x stick ram.. Compile excel sheet for OC!? OMG! Thats really pro! Haha! Got do homework type!

Guys.. Something strange here. Was reset my system to default and start from scratch, and i found this. On cpu-z my ram was running on FSB400/200Mhz which is preset by the mobo DDR400 speed. But whilte in ctiaw, my ratio was shown as FSB533/133Mhz. Whats happening? Which is the correct one? Thou in FSB400/200Mhz i was having full PAT.

Tried with 2x D43. Result as below:

Procs: 3.61Gh @ 1.45vcore
Timing: 3-4-4-8 (the loosen that my mobo can go) @ 2.85vdimm (the max vdimm my mobo can supply)
Divider: 1:1, 3:2, 5:2 (Try all type of ratio already)
Result:

A. 1:1 Ratio @ 30secs after error found for 1st time. Try agian for the 2nd time system go hang and restart. 
B. 3:2 Ratio @ 1mins and 19secs after error found. (System stable, no hang nor restart)
C. 5:4 Ratio @ 3mins and 45secs after error found. (System stable, no hang nor restart)

Conclusion: FAILED OC!

Aiyak.. Sorry! Typo error la.. It should be 1.55v.. By then.. See my new screen! My new result! Hehe.. Guess i found out what stopping me for go beyond 3.6Ghz liao.. Now running at 3.67Ghz! Near 3.7Ghz! Guess i didnt supply enough vAGP last time thus is makes me cant go beyond 3.6Ghz! Tried few time with 1.6v vAGP really makes my system reboot or hang after 30secs priming with priority 10 Orthos. Guess when hit high speed, the north bridge need more juice from PSU in order to maintain and stabilized the system. Seems like is not my D43 and TCCC ram fault. Blame the wrong part..



Setting as below:

Running at: 3.67Ghz @ FSB245*15
RAM ratio : 3:2 (Well.. havent try on run at 1:1 thou, but can archived 3.67Ghz with 3:2 count ok already for me. )
vcore: 1.5375v (lower down from 1.55v)
vdimm: 2.85v
vAGP: 1.8v (Taking rise with max up the vAGP and i got some surprise! )
Full load: 56-57'c (Kinda high for me.. Will try to adjust my cable management agian.. )
North Bridge: 42'c
GC: 58-60'c (Jumping up and down thou.. and i didnt OC the card yet!! ! Max vAGP really heat up my GC)

Result:

Satisfy with this result. 3.8Ghz on the way! Although prime for 2hrs only but it can last so long without restart really make me happy like picked gold at road side!
colin, if u're dare enough like me. Try max up ur vAGP and try prime agian. I bet this will be something good happened on ur rigs. See my result above..
Pals.. seems like ur 12v rails wasnt that stable. What PSU ur using at the moment?

Lol.. No time ah! Kinda busy thou.. Just back from fren's gathering. Wanna go bed sleep lo.. But now kinda satisfy with 3.66Ghz.. Hehe! Feel the boost of Prescott at high FSB. Really shine..

Lol.. I 'm now then realized what our sinor says last time. Prescott procs only shine when FSB get higher. Now i feel it.. Not so bad thou.. But really fast in loading, file searching speed and so on. Now plan to change my HDD to sata and give a little boost for overall performance.

Ur getting new PSU? Good.. After get it than can OC kaw kaw! By then.. I burnt my CPU cooling fan LED. Now looking for alternative replacement. Anyone know where can i get 100x100mm fan? Or any fan converter (or known as fan adapter)? Asked in hardware Q&A section liao.. Now waiting for reply.

You sure yours running at 3.29Ghz can get 40 secs in SuperPI?
