Anyone familiar with this location? Apart from the MRT, are there any amenities around within waking distance? Food?

there is a mall and nothing more, u go anywhere also need to drive

Went to survey …

Behind this site next to Cheras Sentral has 2 stretch of shoplots which is mostly car workshop and empty units … at night very creepy …

Cheras Sentral is unofficial MRT parking, else less than 10 shops in the mall operating, the hotel surprisingly still operationable.

Next to Connaught One site also with several blocks of low cost flats in close proximity … very old, paint peeling off not appetising…

Opposite the site is Annex, 2 stretch of new shoplots have couple of shops but mostly with onsale/rent banners …

Hope UEM will rejuvenate the place to bring the quality up … but quite hard … best if they bought and demolish everything

To rejuvenate the place, it needs huge crowd.
Not sure the summation of all phases of this project can supply the crowd.

Seem the opposite Majestic Maxim pretty alive especially with the grocer in operation now hopefully more shop will operate to enhance the area

No proper linkage between Majestic Maxim with Connaught One. There is a pedestrian bridge but it does not connect well … i think pedestrians still need to jaywalk to cross the street …

This not to mention the ONLY entry to Connaught One from KL is a 2 lane roads … that road if not mistake jam today everyday during peak hours … with Connaught One occupancy it will get very much worse …DBkL approves project without considering road sizing to serve the population …

I don't think UEM will do anything extra to rejuvenate the place.
Looking at how they plan and price this project, obviously this is a hit and run project for them.
Launch, fast2 sell off, VP, bye2. No more interest for them in this place.

Mayland is our hope here. Annex, MR, MM, CA, CO, Aster totalling around 7-8k units around this station, but it is hard for mall or big commercial area to survive given Ekocheras, leisure mall, youcity 3, emerald 9, tmn segar, tmn connaught commercials are just nearby.
I think Mayland will make the number to 10k and hopefully the shops can be filled up. Too many commercial here wont be able to do well.

Kesian the ppl staying in len seng and further inside. It's a nightmare to go in and out using this access

Why need cheras sentral? Connaugt one have connaught square. all your needs is already there grocer ,food, 24h convenient store or mamak , cafe and all . Chreas sentral layout just not good enough for walking maybe can become tuition centers or training centers or office more suitable.

Heads some news from SA,UEM bought new piece of land near the polis camp,next to cheras sentral.Looks like got phase 2&3 on the way.
