so are we just confine to the Piam guideline or do we have our right when dealing with agent who mislead.
for you case, you loose right, no bad intention here, just want to see how far do our consumer rights go in this bolehland.
*
Customers has that right to lodge a complaint when dealing with agent who misled

To want to see how far do our consumer rights go in this bolehland, is first for anyone who believes he/she has cogent evidence that the agent misled him/her, to do as per posted 2 pages earlier.

Just need to seek resolve with the company first, if still not happy, can then proceed with .....

Ok.. now I'm a little bit worried. Means the insurance company can challenge the insurance taker due to:

1. Work without any proper insurance?
is he doing it for money or employed or contracted?
Mosque or Community Hall need to purchase insurance on behalf?
is there a statutory requirement by the authorities or a legal contract between the Mosque and the injured person requiring the Mosque to buy insurance for him?
2. It was intentionally injury? The risk of falling stairs or gardening is high?
during PA insurance application, the person intent to buy will hv to "tick" his nature of job or risk profile.
Ticking a desk job risk profile will have a cheaper premium than ticking a highest risk profile that requires climbing of ladder. ...manual labour
I THINK ( think only) If you pays cheaper, "may not get" you covered if you falls downs a ladder.

*
While waiting for real value added responses to your query....
the above is not a qualified comments

I kay poh and Google and found this on a PA claim form and on an PA application form.

Is there any limit how many critical illness insurance someone can own?

Why the insurance company asks 'do you have other life/health insurance' during application? 🙄

I think it is not the number of insurance plans that one can have but more to the total amount of coverage one can have which I think (think only) it depends on one's income and networth among other criteria too

as long as you declare . company will do the financial underwriting you eligible or not.

kisah benar, policy void during claim because of none disclose previous life coverage which is exceed his eligibility limit.

Life INSURANCE company - most of the policy usually need medical underwriting & financial underwriting .

This is for the insurance to know how much risk is being undertaken as well as to prevent funny business.

Has anyone look into the life and CI insurance in the EPF I-lindung? How are the plans compared to the normal standalone out there (cheaper/more expensive)?

I looked at the life takaful from Etiqa, seems to be less competitive compared to buying from their website directly.

Hi, I have questions about the payout from a life insurance policy. So my late bro had a life insurance policy with AIA and the named beneficiaries are his 3 kids, but only 1 kid has a Msian IC with a local bank account, and the other 2 have become Australian citizens and dont have a local bank account.

Will the insurance company:
Q1) pay the whole amount to the one local bank account since they are siblings?
Q2) or can they pay to their Australian bank accounts? what documentation is reqd?

Hope someone can help! Thanks

My guess only. The insurance company will pay to all. Foreigners can buy insurance policy too, in case people forget. The key thing is the ability to proof your identity...

But i worry aia will have alot of charges when banking into the australia bank account... just a guess...

I have submitted an application to upgrade my medical plan in my ILP.

After a few weeks, I received an enquiry from the insurance company to fill in a "Neck & Back Pain" questionnaire.

I asked my agent, she says:

1) I declared it in my application form (Note: I did not)
2) I have received medical attention / hospitalization for it (Note: I did not)

Both my neck and back are completely fine to my knowledge. I do not recall ever seeking any kind of medical attention, or indicating as such to any doctor, regarding this.

How can I appeal to the insurer? I have filled in "N/A" to all the questions but not sure how acceptable it will be to the insurer. What will they make me do next?

NOTE: Asking for a close personal friend, NOT myself.

Very similar case with my sis... She was admitted to hospital for surgery.long time ago. Rest for few nights in hospital. Since keep lying on bed so she complain feel a bit of pain at her back and neck when doctor came.. And the doctor called another doctor came to check but no further treatment was given. There was no injury to my sister neck and back..

Few years later when my sis want to upgrade her existing insurance she got rejected.. Asked her to go back hospital to get doctor report on her neck and back. She also tried look for new insurance from other companies and got rejected since she has record of bank and neck pain.. End up new policy exclude neck and back even with doctor checkup report

Hi All,

I have a friend who has insomnia issues, want to use his co insurance to go see sleep specialist at sunway.

Would this affect his own personal medical/life insurance premium in any sense?

Hearsay unfortunately until you can provide the case summary.

Not trying to protect the insurance company or your friend. But it's best to get the facts right than hearsay.
