Hi, currently I have unifi 500Mbps package. My router is located at the 1f but most of the time I will be browsing the internet at 2nd floor using WiFi. I can hardly reach 500Mbps at 2f, and using Ethernet cable is not an option. From what I heard WiFi mesh is a good way to increase my WiFi coverage. Can I know whether installing a WiFi mesh will make a huge difference or not, in terms of boosting my WiFi speed.

Modem? Device as in singular? Garage sales should have. Or do you mean router or switch for devices, plural?

Good day to all,

Is this the correct cable for unifi if I want to extend the fibre optic cable? It looks the same as the fibre optic cable I'm using now.

https://shopee.com.my/SC-SC-Armored-FTTH-Fi...9217.2651198759

Im planning to renovate part of my house and therefore want to relocate my setup to a different part of my house temporarily.

Also what kind of adaptor do I need to buy?

Thank you!

Your subscribed speed of 30Mbps is also set in the ONU. If your office is in the same area, use the ONU from the office to get full 100Mbps.

That means ONU connects to a different concentrator which has a different password. You can change the auth password if you got web access to the ONUs, yours to see the password and then your office's ONU to enter that password.

Unless TM has done the below then cannot.

Hi everyone
I want to ask. My place already have Unifi Infra since September last year with all FDC FDP have been installed. Latest info i got from the TM Staff, they said the process now stuck with the verification in the system. How long should I wait for it? Because before this they promise to roll-out the service by this month but still not yet.

Is there anything I can make to pressure them?

won't take too long, my TM guy mentioned it as address boundary. It will bec within a week or two.
In what sense that you can put pressure to them?, unless you're super vvip.

Mine more or less OK but I did notice slowdowns off and on. Turning IPv6 helps in some cases.

I have friends charge for ceiling installation for single stories houses.
They installer over charge RM90 less than 10 meter kitchen to dining room.

I wonder what kind of conduit which need to charge for RM90 for installation ?

Does anyone have an example of unifi conduit over the ceiling ? why does it charge so expensive ?
Can we buy our own conduit and ask unifi installer to install ? what type it need for unifi ?

The charge probably includes labour as well. I don’t really know if it’s cheap or expensive.

Wiring inside the ceiling with microduct protection. Price start from RM60.

They use HDPE Microduct.

You may refer to the installation guide

In ceiling is optional installation

to my experience, you can't get 1:1 speed on wifi if you extend it either via repeater or mesh. means if you on 500mbps plan, you can't get 500mbps too if you use mesh with wifi backhaul, unless via LAN (ethernet backhaul). even the good Asus XT8, the most someone quote is he get 500++ from his 800mbps plan (assume 590/800 = 74%). maybe wait for a few more years when the new technology come. Tq
