Hi bro can RB951G support 800mbps? Was looking between this n hAP AC2. I don't mind about wireless as I am planning to deploy mesh.

if you want to have more customized router, Mikrotik RB4011igs is consider good already. Also try to get more mesh and use star ethernet backhaul, instead of wifi backhaul, to suite your 800mbps plan.

Anyone else keep having error when accessing GMail / Google Drive FileStream / Google Meet?
Spoke with my G-Suite supplier, it seems the issue is isolated to only UniFi customers
Time customers are not having this issue

no wonder i received a few notification (connect / disconnect) on my smartphone, send by my mikrotik router on the google dns intermittent around noon time. luckly my primary dns was TM unifi and seconday google dns. one of the advantages using mikrotik router, can alert & triggered us. lol

Macha, you're connected to the 2.4GHz lah
To get full 500Mb/s on WiFi, there are a few criteria
1. Your device itself must support 2x2 AC/AX
2. You need to be connected to 5GHz, not 2.4GHz
3. You need to set the 5GHz band to 80MHz
4. Don't expect to get 500Mb/s if you're far away from the router. The only way to get full 500Mb/s on WiFi even with all those criteria met, is if you're standing very close to the router. The further you go, the lower the speed will be unless you setup mesh network all around the house using Ethernet backhaul

there are 2 type of ppl, someone just need an wifi with internet connection, doesn't matter what wifi speed they get and another like me, everywhere on wifi in my home i need to archive 450mbps and above (package 500mbps) thus with that, every 25 - 30 ft distance, i installed mesh wifi with ethernet backhaul, ground floor 2 mesh X60 and 1st floor 2 mesh M9 plus, if one each at X60 at ground floor and 1st floor, only get 139mbps furtherst point.

My current IP is 175.x.x.x

I guess just resist to restart the router, right?

mine always 60.x.x.x or 115.x.x.x or 175.x.x.x and i observed 60.x.x.x always the best. lol

Hi, currently I have unifi 500Mbps package. My router is located at the 1f but most of the time I will be browsing the internet at 2nd floor using WiFi. I can hardly reach 500Mbps at 2f, and using Ethernet cable is not an option. From what I heard WiFi mesh is a good way to increase my WiFi coverage. Can I know whether installing a WiFi mesh will make a huge difference or not, in terms of boosting my WiFi speed.

to my experience, you can't get 1:1 speed on wifi if you extend it either via repeater or mesh. means if you on 500mbps plan, you can't get 500mbps too if you use mesh with wifi backhaul, unless via LAN (ethernet backhaul). even the good Asus XT8, the most someone quote is he get 500++ from his 800mbps plan (assume 590/800 = 74%). maybe wait for a few more years when the new technology come. Tq

oh no.. you re quoting it from me. I'm getting 500mbps only because of not wifi 6 devices.. just iphone X.. if I'm using LAN at node I can get 700Mbps (speedtest app only and not iPerf) which is far from router with 2 wall, different floor and about 15 meters.. the test just using speedtest client which is not accurate one.. The right method in testing speed must use iPerf.. I dont want to continue the argument in previous thread with you because you're not understand much with wifi..

not referring to anyone bro. just a message or point to him that impossible he can get 1:1 of his subscription speed if he extend the network with wifi mesh or extender, correct me....unless on LAN cable or ethernet backhaul. i admit i'm don't know much on wifi since my era with internet only begin late 90's.
