I bought a new KC3000 2TB but just curious why the firmware is different (EIFK51.2). The latest firmware AFAIK is EIFK31.7 which I updated recently.
Any idea why? I'm not technically savvy enough to know if there will be any issues here...

ur new KC3000 may have a different controller than ur older ones. yes, what ur seeing is kingston switching their controller (and perhaps their NAND too) again

i'm searching for M2. 2230 Gen 4 x 4 SSD Pcie nvme. Through search in lazada and shopee, there are few options on sale for 1 TB:

-Crucial P310 around RM 420
-Transcend MTE310S RM 405
-Silicon Power UD90 RM 306
-PNY CS 2142 RM 385

Which one is the better option? Silicon power sound ok but not so famous brand, this is meant for laptop mostly work purposes (normal word processing software)

None of the above. Just get Kingston KC3000 1TB (RM349) or Renegade 1TB (RM379) from Viewnet.

Thank you for your suggestion, i search on viewnet both model is based on the M2. 2280 slots not M2. 2230.

Curious to know which laptop is that which only limits to 2230... Its a rare uncommon size which only boomed recently thanks to handheld gaming gear

Hi all. Is Asrock B450 Steel Legend compatible with Kingston KC3000 2TB? Because seems that some nvme ssd cant be used with this motherboard (NV3).
