as of now, imo a better way to populate ssds in a desktop computer is like this:
1. a small dedicated os drive - nvme, 3d-tlc, 512gb or more;
2. work drives - 1x apps/games, 1x data; nvme, 3d-tlc, 2tb or more;
3. a game/content drive - nvme, qlc + dram, 4tb or more.
this should yield a relatively better performance, plus you can do regular os/data backups, so that you can restore things quickly when shits happen.
offload tasks like downloads to an old pc, and an array of sata-based hdd storage (for data backups, archives) to another. you can manage both machines with rdp (at least change the port, and enable windows firewall to accept lan-only connections)
i think above is the better way to use qlc drives, i.e. read-intensive mainly.
Looks like SSD price have come down locally, for the small brand. PNY 1TB SATA SSD can be found just slightly above RM200
Got a link bro? I'd wary of really cheap drives as they could be really substandard C grade stuff or worse; fakes, which is very prevalent with SATA SSD nowadays
