hi all,
i went to LYP today and found that some shops selling TX1316AU at RM2999 with Athlon 64x2 TK-55 (1.8GHz),1GB RAM,160GB HDD.Is this a good buy? hmm.gif
will use it for few years, hopefully tongue.gif
or better go to higher spec RM4999 for larger HDD, faster processor? sweat.gif
one SA told me i can't use this lappy to for drawing by using stylus pen but only can use the stylus to write? rclxub.gif
then what for the touch screen function to use for? hmm.gif
thanks smile.gif

the selling price for tx1316au already increase to rm3599
so the different between tx1316au with tx1317au is the processor and ram but u have to pay extra rm1400 just for extra 1 gb ram and amd turion x2 1.9ghz.
i think is hard for u to use the stylus to draw on the screen

haih.increase price adi?i got my 1316 couple of weeks ago.upgrade to 2gb ram.i been looking for a laptop for quite a while.then suddenly i saw it for rm2999,terus grab.i bought it mainly for its coolness.haha.
so far its been fun lor.i got no problem at all using it.burn my recovery disc on 1st try.using 2 single layer dvd.
d fingerprint reads very well.i always log on with my fingerprint, its simpler then typing my password.
d touchscreen also, its quite good.for me it recognize my writing very well.u just need to press a bit to write lo.i think dis is important coz i always put my hand on d screen to write.if its too sensitive then u would not be comfortable writing when u cant put ur hand on it.u get wat i mean?
for me d downside is just d heat n d battery lo.
dats all from me smile.gif

base on the brochure from hp,it max support to 2 gb ram only

i try install 1pcs of 2gb on it but left another 1 empty,so for sure it can support 2 gb ram.

in your case if u insert another 512mb ram into it and can detect, then i think tx1316au can support max 4gb ram

i have no problem synchronizing my nokia 8800 via bluetooth using the pc suite,
however, i've problem with my eten m500 with wm5 OS..
it can sync through USB but when using btooth the computer detect the device but cant sync..
while btooth connected, the USB connection is lost.. uninstall the device driver, install it back it works with USB, and when
using btooth, the USB cant sync again.. rclxub.gif sorry for my bad english
so now i can use USB only for my pda
i've downloaded the 'windows mobile device center' but i think the problem is bcoz the device driver,
i search for an update for the driver but the system cant find any new driver.. doh.gif

I also owned a TX1316au with 2gig ram.. straight after purchased it from shop, i made 2 recovery dvds and formatted it into winxp pro.. it's fast.. with all driver equipped.. i recommend owners of tx1000 series to do so.. also for your information, tx2000 is already out in the hp us website.. it has wacom enabled..
