I got mine @ RM150 oni & i do agree that this price should be standardize.

BTW, for those who bought the extended warranty, did you fella receive any confirmation from HP?  a letter or anything?  I was told by HP that they will send a letter to me but i have not receive anything yet.

i strongly agree the care pack price shd standadize...
when i purchase my care pack at HP tower at bukit damansara, i was told my the staff serving me that, i will receive a comfirmation later from HP within 1 week. But till now i still not get any letter or email from HP. Service of HP is too BAD! Promise but didnt do it. Sigh...

juz bought the CoolerMaster NotePal Infinite.  there is a slight improvement on temperature on my NHC temp reading.

another good this is the NotePal Infinite is the clor matched with the TX nicely.  The NotePal is black with silver aluminium mesh.  Blend in nicely with TX and on top of that, the ON/OFF switch LED is blue.  A good match.

I'll post mroe about the pad later.  gotta rush out to dinner now.

hey bro, post some pic of ur new cooler pad to let us see le... really match with tx? i think of getting one too. let me know where u purchased and price.... hehe

Diff between 1221au and 1316au beside processor, i heard RAM supported capacity also diff. I heard from LYN member(william) say that 1221au support up to 4 gig RAM, and 1316au support to 2 gig RAM.
anyone have info about this? basically probably is because of the operating system?

There is some noticable change in temperature. Where previously my CPU runs at average 60+ degree (at about 64-67), now it seldom venture over 60 degree. I'll stay at about around 57-60.

RM99 at handevice @ PJ Digital Mall.

I have not seen the NotePal Infinite anywhere less then RM100, so when i saw RM99, i sapu straight. I took the last unit but there is another on display.

I got s 2pid question to ask. If you notice our TX remote control slot, you take out the remote and peep inside. There is like a connector inside. Is that an expresscard slot?

Added on January 3, 2008, 11:02 pmi was at Handevice, Digital Mall. They still have the NotePal Infinite.

HI. i just recently bought my tx1316au too. Bought at my local hometown PC shop for 2999 + rm160 for 2gb ram (1pc rm80 ddr667 kingston). sadly the shop uncle dowan accept ram trade in and now i have 2 pcs of the stock 512mb ram waiting to collect dust =.=.

Demio121: that slot was actually an express card slot that i think should be replacing PCMCIA port. (most new laptop don't have PCMCIA anymore) it just doubles up as a remote control slot for HP pavilion (i think all model lar coz my fren's DV2730 also like that).
I love ur notepal infinite. planning to get 1... we gotta agree that this is pretty hot machine

TO ALL OWNER OF THE TX1316 or equivalent model with geforce 6150.
actually if u go into the bios u can set the dedicated memory of the graphic card. the max actually can set to 128mb. stock preconfigure at 64mb dedicated and 271mb share system memory. Just in case some of you don't know smile.gif
1st day i try when i got it at my hometown in kedah, because my desktop is in penang i dont have any music at all. so i decided to pop in my phone memory card and copy over more than 1gb of songs in M4a format. then in use iTunes to convert it all back to MP3.. my processor temperature fly sky rocking high at 75C and because the GPU is somewhere beside it it boost up to 81C.
now i use capalang cooler which i stole from my dad (LOL) can keep it below 70 =.=.

edit: i have problem with my stylus inlet. keep it in pressing 1 click wont lock my stylus. have to push in a little more for a snap. and because of that when i wan to take it out i it wont click. i have to press it to make it come out a little and pull it out =.= guess i gonna send for repair soon.
AND i couldn't create the recovery dvd.... always fail on verifying. then test burning with nero 8. turn on disc finalize verification. fail on verify oso.. ARGHHHGHGHG ........... anobody facing this problem? or izzit only me....

edit2: went back reading the 1st 3 pages. don't know why ppl say the finger print reader not so good and the handwriting recognition and writing on the screen is lousy. the finger print reader is very good, better than most from the other brand laptop out there. i swipe my finger pretty quick most of the time and it detect just fine with no problem at all. the handwriting recognition even learn your handwriting at it detects the word very well. i have to say i never had so much fun using paint in windows up until now LOL!! even on windows life messenger sometime i choose to scribble around that typing.. it's just plain fun.
i have to admit the screen is very glossy and reflective... brightness wise is BRIGHT ENOUGH. i sometime even have to tone down the brightness =.=. you have to admit the colour of the screen is good though. it also house one of the clearest and loudest speaker on laptop. i had never tried the new acer with dolby which i heard got a woofer beneath the laptop?? but this is certainly VERY LOUD.
RM2999 is a STEAL for all those entertainment feature with vista home PREMIUM and the best part, IT"S A TABLET!!
