ive been using this tablet for a week now (bought at Pc fair Batu Pahat tx1316au/2gb RAM) and i love everything about it accept the HEAT...
temp is about 65-75 degrees (Rightmark)
sometimes i heard crackling sound but im not sure whether its from the cpu or the speaker..
someone pls help..

Evercool NB-FA1

may i ask
1. is 60-70 degrees a normal cpu temperature?
2. which side of the tablet blows air out?
the one near the s-video port OR the one near the battery

yup, adjusting the power plan does help reducing the heat..
it drops below 60 with the help of additional exhaust fan & air-cond room

mine won't work if the finger is too dry..

the finger needs to be slightly moist

yes, like swiping the finger from the middle part to the tip.

when I read about ur problems I bought the 2 years extended warranty ASAP just in case

i bought it (TX1316AU) about 2 weeks ago at PC Fair Batu Pahat, Johor near my place.
it was 2999 but the guy said i can upgrade the RAM to 2GB for another rm70.
NO freebies.. well who wants freebies like 1gb pendrive or usb fan..
plus the xtended warranty (which i bought at another shop) is 199.
later i bought the Evercool exhaust fan which is 45
i think the total is 3314 or something

lucky ad2000 got his warranty for 179.

when did u bought it?

try this: open the stylus input panel >> tools >> option
>>click the opening tab
>>click on the "Tap the Input Panel Icon or the -------Panel"

instead of popping out when ur mouse pass over it, u need to tap it to roll into screen.

its true, i've experienced the shock once, on the gap between the body and the keyboard
it didnt hurt, its like static electricity..

i have no problem synchronizing my nokia 8800 via bluetooth using the pc suite,
however, i've problem with my eten m500 with wm5 OS..
it can sync through USB but when using btooth the computer detect the device but cant sync..
while btooth connected, the USB connection is lost.. uninstall the device driver, install it back it works with USB, and when
using btooth, the USB cant sync again.. sorry for my bad english
so now i can use USB only for my pda
i've downloaded the 'windows mobile device center' but i think the problem is bcoz the device driver,
i search for an update for the driver but the system cant find any new driver..

Mine run just fine below 55 celcius.. running 12 hours a day..
What I did:
1. Adjust the Power Plan - set balance/hp recommend
2. buy extra cooling fan
- Evercool exhaust + cheap 3-fan aluminum coolant at the bottom

I'd rather work my @$$ off than surrender my TX for getting married!!!

I wonder is it possible to swap the black screen from tx2000 to tx 1316?

the tx2000 digitizer is much more responsive than the "old" one
also, it can only look good with a black keyboard..
