I saw it also....but as ul said...the screen's colour is a drawback.
*
because the screen is being protected by another surface on top of the screen

I went to Midvalley a few days ago and it's selling at RM2999 also. I tried the hybrid on the spot. The following is my brief review:

One of the drawback is its screen. Comparing with other ordinary laptops, this screen is dark and dull. The vista wallpaper which is supposed to be very bright, looks dark in the screen eventhough the brightness is set to maximum. However, the screen is pretty scratch-resistant. I tried to scribble around the screen with appreciable pressure and there is no sign of damage/scratch.

thats y the screen is not bright or clear enough cause being protected

Hi
I have been following everybodies' discussion on the tx (also reviews from outside malaysia).  It seems that the tx has serious issues on heating (on the right palmrest) and glaring screen.  The touch screen also seem to be another minus for this tx.  I am now seriously considering changing my plan to buying the Fujitsu  T2010.  Do you guys have any opinion about this model?  I have tried to search around for review on this model outside malaysia, but not much has been written about it.  Thanks.

Fujitsu Lifebook T2010 selling at RM7388 that u can get 2 of the HP Pavilion TX1221AU

Yes the 2010 is pricey.  Any comments on the tx1215AU? Does it has the same issues as the 1221? HP website indicate that the 1215 is RM5499.00 (and the tx1214AU is 4999) Is this price the same everywhere or I can get better deal at Lowyat?

mm.lee and williamngwl: thank you for the helpful posts.
*
save the money not to buy tx1224au and tx1225au...cause u wont feel alot different with the speed.

I've got a small glitch whenever I "opened" it too long. My mouse seems to "on and off" itself sometimes. It's not a big problem but it's pretty darn annoying.

*
u mean the touchpad will stop functioning after u use it for too long?i think maybe is the power setting in vista

Diff between 1221au and 1316au beside processor, i heard RAM supported capacity also diff. I heard from LYN member(william) say that 1221au support up to 4 gig RAM, and 1316au support to 2 gig RAM.
anyone have info about this? basically probably is because of the operating system?
