I also owned a TX1316au with 2gig ram.. straight after purchased it from shop, i made 2 recovery dvds and formatted it into winxp pro.. it's fast.. with all driver equipped.. i recommend owners of tx1000 series to do so.. also for your information, tx2000 is already out in the hp us website.. it has wacom enabled..

yaya.. that's why there is a link to instructions to upgrade it to winxp.. it works perfectly for me for 2 weeks ad.. all drivers installed with no hassle.. you should try it.. but before that plz make your own recovery dvd in case you want vista back..

Added on January 17, 2008, 12:52 pmalso touch screen is much more responsive in xp.. you can enjoy all features of vista using the same xp os.. but you'll need additional softwares.. you may refer to the link which i posted before in this thread..

.. if original win vista equipped, it should have no prob unless it has been disabled. checked it under network connection.

the ' there wasn't any response there ' means what? no connection? you might need to check whether it's static ip or gateway..
