For all you doubters, get P2 Ativa if you are on a tight budget but still wants the advanced changgih features.

If you have extras then get X50. Either one, you still have to wait.

If you can wait til end of Dec 2021 then go for HRV 2022. I doubt Malaysia will have it by 2022 though. Avoid getting your hope’s high

I ask my SA, but SA also cannot commit the delivery date.
Did you SA tell you when can get the car?

My loan approved on early Nov, until now still no news... rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Your SA should know you are on which que no. for the chosen color for their branch.
Each Dealer will have their list to do follow up.

If don't have, then you better start look for another dealer or Avita or HRV 2021/2022.

Anyone still being forced to buy the X50 Urban/Utility Package? I'm being told just today, all outlets in Swak must sell with Utility Package, RM3.3k. So there is no escape, unless decide to get the car after tax exemption period.

SA can control the dealership queue.... but supply from Proton they simply cant do anything about it.

So SA will take a safety route, tell you dunno, better than tell you next week, then Proton deliver 3 cars, none of them the colour you wanted.

That's why we see some of us with SA asking you want other colour or not, cause they strictly follow queue, colour consider later.

The dealers with lots of customer, they likely follow colour first, then queue afterwards.

I tend to agree here. After looking at all the suggested vehicles, X50 is top on my list. The orange is very pretty. Most likely to get the Premium in this color.

I can afford the flagship, but dislike moonroof.

Well, if you not keen to get a sunroof, don´t think about the Flagship. The Flagship price is OK, but mainly because of the reason that these kind of sunroofs cost a hell of money. With every car on the market.

Personally I think is either Flagship or Exec

Standard too low

Premium a bit pointless unless u really fancy the LCD display, bigger rim and dual tone interior

I think for Flagship, the main additional cost is sunroof and the safety features.

Actually for me the sunroof was totally useless in Malaysia as the weather always hot or rain....

I tend to disagree. At 1st I also assume the moonroof (because the roof covers from the driver seat at front to the passenger seat at the back) is useless. But my kids love it as evening/night can see the outside scene and my wife/ friends especially love it when it rain as can see the droplets of water sprinkled on the roof. During hot weather also is not a problem as I've tinted the moonroof so a nice view especially when you are the passenger, though afternoon it does get a bit hot so can always ask the moonroof shade to cover it. smile.gif

This is the list of SUV with Sunroof. X50 is the cheapest car with that feature.

Question for X50 owners here.

Did you did any upgrade for your audio system such as adding DSP and/or Sub-Woofer or changing speakers?

If yes, do you know what happen to warranty if you are tapping audio signal from speakers or using plug&play wire?

Thanks.
*
Whatever you do that involves wiring, even if it's plug & play, it will void your warranty. But if it's PnP, you can remove it before sending to SC, so it's more convenient. And of course warranty void will not apply on unaffected area (e.g. change speaker wont void engine warranty). I have purchased DSP and did 4-doors 2 layer soundproof, so the audio system is much better now.

Interest rate is roughly 2.3% - 2.45% as I recall from some of the sharing in Facebook group. I personally got 2.32% from PBB and all depends on your credit scoring. Try to approach other banks for comparison

Thanks for sharing.

It is still a risk, if changing any part of the audio system and may lead to the void warranty for the head unit, which also control the rest of car functions like 360 cameras and LWS, etc.

In that case, I will stay low for a year or 2 before look into the options, as far I as read here, Geely only provide 3 years warranty for the audio systems. Not sure about Proton.

Never went that far ahead. But I'm sure with 108 SUV car with sunroof even the high end car like AMG G-Class would have thought of that before implementing sunroof with their vehicles. Having an 5 star NCAP rating helps too.

Actually roof isn’t a main structural component for vehicles. It’s those pillars and frames which need to be solid enough to keep the car in shape.

Of course if you didn’t fasten your seatbelt and got thrown out throw your roof, then it’s another story, LOL.

For the sunroof alone you have to calculate with RM 5000. If it is not included in the specs this is a normal surcharge at Volkswagen or others.
