I used to have a MYVI with a Silver color, which I found it is easier to maintain.
Not experience on grey but my opinion it is the next easier after silver and grey is more sportier than silver.

Since X50 is with the "sporty" look not the really the spec., if for me if must choose between the 2, I prefer to grey more than silver.

Lol..you know mine is citrus orange right?

Just my 2-cents.
*
Yeah, I'm also more of the grey than silver guy. Both actually looked OK-ish for X50, but the silver one kind of too pale and lack (a little) in style (and looks a little myvi-ish, LOL).

Are these Ativa prices with or without sales tax?
*
Current launch price without SST, similar to what Proton done with X50

Have u ever thought if a car turn turtle in an accident, the effect of the type of roof on the passengers?
*
Actually roof isn’t a main structural component for vehicles. It’s those pillars and frames which need to be solid enough to keep the car in shape.

Of course if you didn’t fasten your seatbelt and got thrown out throw your roof, then it’s another story, LOL.

Which is very strange anyway. For their own cost this Ocean Blue metallic is surely the most expensive variant. But even available for Standard. The red is quite light (but beautiful!) and non-metallic, so much cheaper, but only for Premium and Flagship. Proton logic cool2.gif
*
I think probably is same strategy copied from China, red colour for top specs to go in line with the sportiness.

for the lowest spec, what is the price after sst exemption?
*
X50 is launched during SST exemption, so all the 4 variants are actually priced without SST.

If you’re wondering how will it cost after SST holiday is over, nobody have the definite answer yet but you can use X70’s SST rate as a guesstimate for the time been (about 5%?)

Does car come tinted? Okay if I don’t do anything extra?
*
I don’t think so, its not Proton’s norms/cultures to pre-install extra accessories or tinted.

There is no cars in the market you will find the FC claim is as how daily usage is, that is just the best case scenario, a potential where it can achieve.

Be it Axia 21km/l claim the best I manage to squueze only 17.8km/l and sometimes even getting as low as 13km/l
*
Key is whether they overclaimed it.

For a 7.X figure like that of X70, it’s actually much more achievable (of course also easily screwed when the traffic jammed up) and doable in reality.

6.5 is about 15km/L, which is quite logical for highway cruising.

Thanks for the tip. Will try to adjust and see if I get a better FC hahaha

Actually new car they don’t advice to straight go above 100kph (realistically speaking it’s the RPM, don’t push that to 4-5k limits so quick).

Thinking to upgrade because of engine performance. Need to be snappy in town. This Preve NA is ok la on highway very stable but a little bad on low speed town driving. The autonomous driving might help alot while crawlimg on traffic jam although i think i dont really need it. Its just a "nice to have" feature. But then again the Preve very hard for me to let go. Although slow and terrible transmisison, but it is actually very nice to drive, handling and the ride comfort is nice. Maybe i wont sell it. Loan apmost finished

I dont think i need the X70, its very huge and based on spec, it is quiete slow. I dont think its good for town driving. So no point since i have the Preve. Also the 18" tyre replacement will kill me! And i think the maintenance cost is much expensive.
*
Nope, X70 isn’t slow.

I used to think X50 is the way to go too as it have better weight/power ratio. But after driving X70, I find it has sufficient power to give you the pushed against chair reaction at junction.

For new car, it is advisable to not drive long distance after how many mileage?
long distance = 400km
*
It’s not bout long distance, but rather don’t floor your pedal and go high RPM.

What was the "appreciation package"?

Also, any idea how much is the SST exemption for the X50?
*
If follow X70, it will be 5-6% different in price.

Hello
read someone posted only think of flagship or executive.. so wanna hear ur advise on below my requirement. which variant to go, if 10k is worth. I have test drive flagship.

not sure if tgdi makes any diff.. I m leaning towards premium because of the interior.

sunroof = unnecessary for me
acc icc = hope to have when jam
auto parking = unnecessary for me
keep lane warning =  very annoying
aeb = good to have
Blindspot = unnecessary for me
intelligent headlamp = unnecessary for me
duo tone exterior design = hope to have
*
Most people agreed Proton is mainly trying to sell Executive and Flagship. That’s why they locked all those L2 autonomous and TGDI goodies behind the highest variant. Sunroof is jus an added bonus (actually it’s more cons to most people; hot, need extra tinting/insulation and even add additional insurance just in case it break). Had they pulled the X70 premium tricks on X50 (mean top specs with sunroof, 2nd specs everything identical but without sunroof for RM4k saving), then i reckon most will simply go for 2nd specs as most people don’t like
/need sunroof.

And most people will say/feel “already paid 93k, what’s another RM10k...”, especially one of the main charm of X50 is its high tech L2 stuff and the powerful 177PS 1.5T engine. If for Executive, you’re comparing a difference of 20k and you will think if those extra fancy features worth extra 20k and if the compromised half package is still worthy for its price tag; but for Premium you’re paying 93k, might as well top up the remaining to get and enjoy the full package.

test drove yesterday at srb branch. so far the power for FS amazed me (of course if compared to my old unker altis). But what the SA keep telling me not to take FS as the waiting list from HQ will surely pass over june period whereby the SST ends.

He keep pushing me to get premium instead and highlighted 'may' potentially get before june. was thinking - FS commission lower kah?
*
After June = SST kick in = many people cancel booking, LOL

Hi guys.

So I just applied for booking and loan on the x50 flagship like last week.

Salesperson told me it'd be around 3-6 months for it to arrive. But looking at some stories online. There's quite a number of stories saying that it took them way longer than that.

Should i just say screw it and wait patiently. Is the x50 really worth the nerve racking wait? The test drive was great, the car felt punchy and nimble. Implementation of Adas was also great on the car.

I feel like there's not much other car that can beat the value of the x50.

Or is it just a bad idea? Would be great to hear from existing x5o owners.
*
Adjust your expectation that this car isn’t going to be instantly available; or play by the crook rule - go find someone with cable and pay your way to cut the queue. Basically like those Xiaomi flashsale style back in the early 2010s, you either fight your luck to grab a unit at flash sale or pay extra to scalper to get it easier/quicker.

Though of course, if you have extra budget, there’s always better Japanese cars out there for RM30-60k more than X50’s pricing, it’s entirely up to your choice.

So if booking now and got it after the tax exemption period

Will I still entitled to the tax exemption?

Book it on March, loan approved

Still in waiting list
*
Won’t, but it’s Q3/4 of the year, may have year end sale/rebate.

Demand will totally collapse after tax holiday ends. You can expect HUGE discounts at the year end sale. Probably already earlier.
*
This, following X70's SST structure (5.17-5.70%), the pricing different will likely be above 5% for X50 too, which is a minimum of RM4k difference.
