I don't understand why the 5g speed cap at 100Mbps. Even 4g speed can go more than 100Mbps

They segregate the 5G speed tier based on Essential, Advance, Premium packages.

Does the 4G service have a speed limit for the postpaid 40 5G SE plan?

Digi is becoming outrageous. I tried to transfer one family line to Digi prepaid, and they are asking me to do the following:

1. Pay RM60 to switch the family line to Digi Postpaid 60.
1. Pay another RM60 to switch the same number to Prepaid.
In total, I have to pay RM120 just to downgrade one family line to Prepaid. What's worse is they are not going to refund the RM120 but instead will just offset the next bill.

My monthly bill for five lines doesn't even reach RM100.

What the actual fuck?

Added note: No. I do not have any contract with Digi

I did something similar but in stages, no extra charge. Also wasn't under contract, had 1 primary line and 3 family lines under it.

Firstly, I wanted to port out my primary line. So went to the Digi center and got all 3 family lines moved out to be standalones.

After porting my primary line successfully, I went to Digi center again recently, and asked that all 3 postpaid lines be changed to prepaid. Done within 10 mins.

Had to top up and select new prepaid packages manually, though.

Now, my old primary line is on Hotlink sabah while my old family lines are now on Digi prepaid kuning.

Maybe porting out is your best option?

Managed to get the extra free 60GB after checking with CelcomDigi.
No changes to the contract; it was out of their goodwill.

Go and decouple the particular family line and port out to prepaid of other telco. Can port back to Digi later if you want.

Guys, I am using prepaid best 2017. Expiry 15 May this year. I saw SLL offered at RM38 in BOS.
Question: anyone knows how long this offer will be there in BOS? If I subscribe today, rugi one month since my credit expires 15 May.

At the Digi service centre? Maybe the staff is trying to hit postpaid target?
What's customer service 016-2211800 say about the conversion?

I encountered same situation before when I transfer supp line out from my father's account. And I thought this was the normal process.
After left Digi Centre i called Digi hotline and found out transfer supp line to prepaid can be done without the need of converting to postpaid plan first.
Few hours later i went back to that Digi Centre again. The staff that served me was not there, I complained to the store manager, she immediately change my line to prepaid and waive all the charges, no question ask.

Yes, I was doing this at the Digi service center at Sunway Pyramid

Noted. Will give the helpline a call to see what they are going to say about this
Either way, I'm not staying with Digi after this. The merger with Celcom brings nothing to the table

Tested U Mobile for a month including during raya in Kelantan, Perak & Selangor, good enough for my family

Try call again and ask other CS. Tell them you don't want the extra data.

Good that you have done some homework. There are alternative but we must always test out for our own use case whether it is suitable before switching.

I was once scammed by the service center staff to port in to postpaid instead of prepaid.
I wanted to port in from Maxis postpaid to Digi prepaid but was told I can't port in directly to prepaid, must port in to postpaid first. So I signed up the cheapest RM40 plan and called the helpline the next day and was told no such tnc, asked me go back to the center to make the switch back to prepaid.
