I will get back to you
Told them my prefered installation date is on 17/10
At the moment they couldnt provide me the actual installation date doh.gif
Unifi congested...then Maxis...yikes
Consider Allo is using similar upstreams as Maxis, I dont fancy my chance

Orange Black for Allo, running on TNB poles. If u can look at the fibre cable, it should have Allo Technology on it.
Yellow Black for TM
Green Black for Maxis

Tq, I thought it was Time fibre. Saw Time contractor laying another underground cable on the main road.
But Allo team planting pole at residential area.

Then TIME might be available too. TIME is mostly underground, fibre distribution box is on the drain, or sometimes poles. My Time fibre comes from drain behind house.

My area, TIME, Allo, Maxis, Digi started laying fibre at same time. Maxis and Digi laid side by side but not used yet.

Ok...
The planned installation is today
Installer arrived, check all 4 DPs behind my house
NONE of them are functioning (no optical signal)
Installation delayed until Allo's tech support team comes to rectify the issue

I'm probably the only subscriber in this Taman...

from what i know, allo somehow they dont have enough fund to expend. so if there is downtime, sure got delay. that why they offer CD to tap their fiber.
Allo fiber itself seems good. since Oct 24 ( even I riding via CD, only twice downtime due to LOS on 2024 and no LOS for 2025. Just CD problem, which hehe tongue.gif

Allo CS and aftersales services are terrible.
I have a hotlink 365 (RM30) + RM10 for 5GB, as backup internet, via WAN2.

If i noticed the downtime, i will buy something like hotlinkMU 20gb for 2h for RM2 or similar if i need longer and bigger quota.

i have average of 30mins downtime every month, yes every month.

Not like I have other options around, especially when the early termination fees are sky high
I know they hired a bunch of contractors to expand their infra in Batu Pahat recently, so they still have the intention to push their service through Johor
However, the lack of technicians scares me
I dont mind occasionnal outtage, it would still be better than having congestion every single night
Still, the slow responses to everything kinda....

I get used to it.
They are the cheapest fixed IP that available in the market.
(not really fixed but their IP never change).
So I have hotlink backup via wan2 and they will back online after 30mins to few hours.

I have a 4G wifi dongle, not sure if that will work with my Asus router or not
Regardless, I will keep Unifi alive till contract end
Double WAN failover should be enough
